I've heard it said money grows on tree's, this must be what the tree looks like! Will now go and check the two rather larger walnut tree's in the garden for money growing off them!!!!!

Right I have about 100 tree's grown from seeds planted last autumn, beech/oak/sycamore. Now how long should i grow them on for before I plant them out in the field to make a new area of coppice and stand alone tree's?

Sort of similar, I looked at this for moving farming machinery about. But because the machinery your moving is going to earn you income from the work it carries out your not in the exemption. As basically your using the lorry as haulage for business machinery. Shame cuz it would have saved us thousands of man hours and haulage costs by now! But do let me know if you find different, but this is the small print I got from VOSA.

My wife's chicken pen is like fort knox, electric wire and netting all dug in, the local hunt 'controls' them with a helping hand from me if they become a problem. Drives me crazy like a mad man! i've been using a solid nose 47" stihl duromatic on my 880 for milling, and it seems ok. Not really noticed much difference with the roller nose 42" i was using, but like rob said you can get the guide closer to the end. It was perhaps slightly hotter running but in my beginner eyes not excessively hot. I did make sure the oiler on the saw was pushing out a good amount of oil to keep the nose lubricated before the aux oiler lubricated the cutting edge. Thats my pennys worth anyway!

Now just wonder what kinda profits they'll make when they haven't got all those costs on the bottom line!

you wouldn't have to worry about being wheel clamped or towed away even if you did park in the wrong place!

tis a nice sound to hear the quadtrac workign hard, the lad who was driving ours last summer wanted to take the silencer off and put a straight through stack on it! Think that would've deafened the whole 50mile vicinity! Great cause and great achievement!

the UK is strugglng for money, and what do we do........ have a very expensive world event in our country. I'm sure its great, but i hate sport so the best bit for me will be closing ceremony.....oh and the opening ceremony with farming and countryside, whatever!

DB's are prone to poor hydraulics, but if your not going to be working it hard and all day you'll probably find they'll never give you much of a problem.

fords are good, cheap parts easy to fix, some had few glitches but ultimately if your half handy with a spanner there ain't much you can't do! 6610 something like that, would be good!

We had a complete wheel and rim delivered from germany by DHL i think, for one of the big tankers we've got as it was special size and high speed and load rating, about £5k worth. Manufacturer sent it on overnight, 3days later no sign of it, they told the manufacturer it was lost in transit, and from their tracking somewhere between germany and uk.....in the channel then was it? 6days later it turned up with a ripped sidewall (being about 2" thick rubber) and a bent rim edge...... they then told the dealer over here it wasn't insured as it wasn't wrapped in bubble wrap or cardboard.......... Other than the pain in arse fact of waiting for another to be sent (via someone else) I found it quite amusing how you could loose a tire nigh on 6ft in diameter and 3 feet wide, and then manage to damage it in transit when it was inside a plastic handling crate/pallet thingy........ Good luck getting them to find it, probably missing a barcode sticker so they can't send it to you! Hope it all gets sorted!

You must need a long holiday after sorting that out, I can only imagine what a tedious and labourious job it to be! And for anyone thinking of using Rob, from my experience its a great site, easy to use and very quick delivery. And best of all some really great advice for people who like want a simple experienced answer and not some sales baffle!:thumbup:

Also it mght be worth checking your inside leg measurement hasn't changed from when you filled out the form, if it has you'll have to fill out another 50page form stating the reasons why! All joking aside, its nothing to fear, but just be ready to keep cool, keep smiling and bend over backwards to help them with anything. Frustration at keep being asked what seem silly questions or for silly bits of paper is the worst bit to keep hidden below the surface!

see we had a RPA inspection 3 yrs ago, and they 10 days in hot sunshine measuring things with wheels tape measures gps data loggers, and going through the 450odd cattle passports, cattle tags, everything they could think of....... and they were all really really helpful. One did ask to see my entire movement book as I said it was all computerised and obviously thought they'd catch me out, I happily printed the 150odd pages for the last god knows how many years he asked for and dropped it infront of him with a resounding slap........he then had to spend 3 hrs going through it! They didn't find much wrong and suggested i'd been over generous on a few margins but thats fine I can sleep at night! Couldn't have faulted my inspection, but have heard horror stories when things aren't right. But I think so long as your clearly not trying to cheat them out of money your fine! Just be ready with biscuits, sandwichs and lots of drinks and be ready to find every piece of silly paperwork they can think of. Good luck

not sure you get that close enough to the machine as i'm pretty sure that'd have a higher ground pressure than a tracked combine! wonder what the highways would say if you accidently dropped that anchor going down the road?

Theres two combines waiting to go in my yard but unless you've got a big hair drier to put infront it they won't be going anyway in a hurry!
