    Bought a Jensen 530 a couple of years ago - excellent machine and great to deal with. Anything needed since has been sorted without any fuss.

    Just chatting with someone whilst on our hols and they will be needing someone to price a reduction on an unknown tree in their property. Height about 20m apparently - requires a sympathetic reduction/thinning. Located in spearwood near Fremantle. Anyone know someone good out that way please?

    I've had an alko for 3 years and its good piece of kit. Use it alongside fiskars splitting axe. It's not quick but will split stuff I can't with the axe.good working height and with an aftermarket 4 way splitting head on the right size softwood can do all my own and a few nets to sell

    Just showed my wife too and she asked if they do one that says taken by a grumpy old git who cuts down trees!

    Copper wrist bands helped me to some extent, now have infinity ion booster silicone bands. Had the cortisone injections - very painful and short term relief. Try to vary your work, do different tasks on alternate days or weeks if necessary. Elbow supports can help too - but rest is the best thing - not easy I know!

    Got some fresh chip now and a couple more loads over the next week if you still need some?

    I use the Hayauchi on the 6.3m - great piece of kit. Haven't tried the Hayate. The most useful additional accessory by far is the Singtung lopper imho - real time saver!

    The Rredator fitted with the Kohler engine can go a bit deeper than with the Honda I was told when I bought mine - something about oil level cut out switch I seem to remember

    Also look into which antivirus your'e using - norton slows everything down in my limited experience, AVG or Panda seem to both work well and don't affect speeds too much

    Years ago when I was employed in a factory we had a woman who would get up half an hour earlier than necessary (4-30am) am to re-iron her already ironed uniform as she reckoned she couldn't bear to put it on straight from the drawer! Another lad also burnt his hip with the iron after trying to iron his trousers while wearing them. Oh we did have some fun at his expense.

    I used and abused a 4" Sealey for many years, cutting car panels, slabs, RSJs, all sorts - lasted far longer than it should have given the beating it took. Currently using a Bosch for the last few years - also seems pretty robust

    As Peter said - gap is crucial and gives just these symptoms on mine

    I've got really wide feet, the right one especially and even Meindl's were too tight. Got Haix Protector Pro in a 44 instead of my usual 43 and they're the best I've found so far. No point wearing something that's gonna be uncomfortable for up to 12 hours a day!

    I use exactly that one - bit fiddly to put on as others have said, but coupled with chains, hitch lock etc, it'll slow them down

    I pmd the op last night with offer to deliver clean, green free hardwood chips but didn't hear back. Now gone to local allotments

    My mechanic did mine on a '99 model and as it was a changeover year it was a pita getting the correct clutch. By the chassis number it was supposed to be the earlier type - in reality it was the later type.took the old unit into local Iveco dealer and they id'd it for me and supplied new one off the shelf (expensive). Sent the (cheaper) mail order one back. Lots of parts on Dailys seem to have variations so getting the correct bit isn't always as straightforward as it should be. Radiator, clutch and propshaft were particular headaches :-(
