  1. the trucks mentioned above not within your stated price range ? they look like what you were on about getting initially, no ?
  2. filthy pigs. They have tried selling me generators in the past and chinese copy stihl chainsaws.
  3. FFS i was paying a lad with no tickets or no clue either! £80 per day minimum, sometimes £100 per day. i now use a different guy who is excellent and i always try and pay him £100 plus per day, if i have a good day and i can afford a bit extra then it's £120 or more if i can. Can't believe how tight fisted some people are when it comes to pay.
  4. ya gotta Stihl Part number ferra groundie like her ?
  5. airplane with a PTO chipper on 3 point linkage. Good luck with the rebuild.
  6. had the same problem on my older style Greenmech GMR100 except the chute was secured with a large plastic tipped 'wingnut' which i simply reduced the protruding 'tips' by grinding 3mm off of each one.
  7. never tried a 150. Any MS201T i tried on a 14'' bar seemed to perform better than any 201T on a 12'' bar for some reason !
  8. I got a the new CS360TES climbing saw i can take measurements & pics from if thas any help.

  14. LOL whan yew fell in all the water jumped out
  15. ok whas this mean 'a willow RJ' ?? I didn't work yesserday as i had the amazing Nigel (local mechanic) fit a height adjustable towbar to my truck, drain & replace the rear diff oil, fit a replacement sump pan (as i mashed the original one some weeks back) and we had to 'tweek' the oil pick up when we were in there as it got bent in the same 'incident' ! I supplied the sump pan, gasket, rear LSD oil, and towbar brackets, all of that fitted plus 7lts of fresh enjun oil supplied by him fer £60. he's a star spangled banana so he is.
  16. my mate simply fitted a jockey wheel to the front of his CS100's 'draw bar'.
  17. thas a beauty but i need a longer flip line....
  18. mmmmm me tinks you shudda spotted those yerself but i do appreciate where yer coming from, groundie sounds inexperienced though.
  19. i filled out an online application form a few minutes ago for Mid Devon District council, it wasn't too painful but then again i already knew the tree had a TPO and i had the tree officer come out to discuss upcoming works. So far so good.
  20. dunno bout the CS100 but the older GMR100 can have dual wheels fitted (2 wheels on each side) for soft ground. There is also an additional frame work adaptor kit which can be attached to enable it to be mounted onto a 3 point linkage !
  21. Bought the older model Greenmech GMR 100 (secondhand) earlier this year, had new blades fitted and i'm very impressed with it so far. despite being the baby of the range as it's only 14hp it punches way above it's weight. Mine seems to leak down past the fuel pump when left (off) in the hot sun so i would advise turning the petrol cock to 'OFF' when your finished chipping and letting the enjun run down and idle ferra few mins b4 switching it off completely cos when i don't it sometimes floods the rear cylinder and it hydrolocks therefore i cannot pull start it and i need to remove the rear spark plug and pull it over to expel the fuel out of the bore. Thankfully as mine is pull start only (saving weight by not having the starter motor and battery) it didn't cause a problem or any damage....but it could have been a different story if it had electric start as it could have smashed the starter sprag/spur gear or bent a con rod ! I did a large multi stem (35 approx) conifer on saturday, me in the tree, 2 groundies dragging and another feeding the chipper all day long, filled an agri grain trailer with me 'ickle chipper....nuff said.
  22. a chap that used ta work for Hiline had an older style tranny box van (single wheels on the back axle) and had BFG muddies on there, (back axle only) looked gr8 imo.
  23. bout time someone on here said that.
