  1. been pishing doon and very windy 'up here' since lunchtime yesserday. No tree work today but i have a a garden shed to dismantle and dispose of (in the correct manner) for some easy money. Judge Judy might be a good watch today....
  2. looks cool.
  3. doubt that as i think it is based on the 4.6 ton chassis assuming it's no been down rated.
  4. mmmmm reading this with interest.
  5. i loike the sound of it Woodworks, me n' she would definitely attend if ya kickstart summit.
  6. them bays are the daddies foo shoo.
  7. Hello Wes, yes indeed it is the chain you mention, very agressive ferra climbing saw.
  8. no the boike !
  9. plus any/all of the Datsun cabstars, Isuzu NKR Grafters i have driven are an uncomfortable ride suspension wise. Amazing tight turning circle and as said above they are good for narrow lanes, gateways etc. I always prefer the models that come with dual rear wheels on each side though as it's better for traction and stability (that is the only advantage and they cannot carry more weight legally as some may think, they actually carry less weight legally !)
  10. ohhhhh do tell more, me n' she have 4 in our household
  11. yes ideal for a bonsai tree surgeon...
  12. or remove the LHS wheel (as you stand behind the machine) and use a ratshit & socket on the large(ish) nut to rotate the drum.....ya baby.
  13. i have done this too. I always inspect the infeed chute as a lollypop stick is enuf to block up the drum and prevent starting, usually i use the blower to clear the chute prior to cycling down the engine.
  14. yep thats what i shudda done too as i run my pickup all year round on BFG Muddies and as a result i loose about 40-50 miles from every tank full fer crying out loud when i was running a mild (more road oriented) version of General Grabbers i was getting much better mpg but they were no good off road at all.
  15. well said Geoff, mine is well and truly run in and i could feel it improving a bit at a time.
  16. rotflmao

  20. err i did not break any rules, i voiced an opinion. Me and Shavey have had posts go awol for what ever reason. either way i hope ya get the log money refunded asap.
  21. been climbing on the same rope the last few years, 40 degree wash in non bio a few times a year, comes out of the bendix dry enuf to climb on. no problems so far.
  22. check to HT lead is securely screwed into the plug cap and coil.
  23. Noticed a rattle coming from the exhaust on my new'ish Echo so i thought this is gonna take a while to remove (going on past experience with my MS200T) but i had the side cover off and exhaust removed in about 2 minutes, very easy to take apart. The exhaust has a circular internal baffle which looks about the size/shape of a sore throat lozenge ! It looks to be pressed into place (is this called an interference fit ?) and has come loose hence the rattle. Oil take it into the dealer later and ask them to order a new one on warranty. On another note i do find the chain can come off the bar quite easy when compared to an MS200T, this always results in the drive sprocket damaging the chain drive teeth which means i gotta spend ages filing them flat again. Due to this i carry 3 chains (just in case) and simply fit a replacement and file the damaged chain at home on the bench. If your topping a hedge (conifer etc) it seems to happen all too easily so you have to run the chain tight and be extra careful. It has snapped the nylon chain catcher as a result and one is on order. One of the replacement chains they sold me was very aggressive straight out of the box and would cause the saw to buck around alot and snag in the cut. Udder than that this is an amazing saw and i really loike it. Would i buy anudder one if i needed to next week ? YES.
  24. Looks good but even though it's sub 750kg i'd prefer if it was braked, as said above you'd see it roll away unless ya chocked the wheels.
  25. yep i've bin driving one of those TFS69's (3.1TD) for the last 7 years. cheap to run and easy to fix.
