  1. I've been using a mak ea4300 for the past 12 mths, and for what i use it for it has served me really well and will use it to do my cs31 when i get round to doing it. The colour blue has never bothered me as my joinery tools are blue as well and i am not a pro user of the saw, and to be honest i couldnt care less what colour a saw is as long as it does the job. However, if i ever get the chance to buy a bigger saw, then it most probably will be a dolmar, due to what i have read and learnt about the saws on here. ( mainly from tcd as well ).
  2. I dont think he is the best manager ever. I think he will go down in history as one of the best premier league bosses, but thats it. He never managed abroad and he never won the world cup. To be truely great i believe you need to be great at both national and world levels. If that makes sense.
  3. Thanks for the reminder:blushing: That thought had crossed my mind when i first started planning it. But then i forgot all about it until reading your post. Will get some air vents and fit them to the sides. Thanks for the comments tho.
  4. For ages now i've been wanting somewhere to store all the wellies, outdoor clothes, etc. So i decided to make an outdoor wardrobe so to speak. Next up will be a bench seat to go alongside it.
  5. Must admit, i repair my work clothes when needs must. Just use needle and cooton tho'. Have done since my mam taught me how to sew many years ago.
  6. What about a trusty Makita/Dolmar 7900, will run a28" bar. Easily a match for stihl / husqy, for half the price.
  7. The coffee table is really smart. Hope the shows work out well for you.
  8. Can i say citroen. Mine has been very reliable. But the pug hdi engine, is a decent one.
  9. Tbh, i still have ( and Use ) an old mac 335 with a 14 inch bar, its never lets me down, always runs, does what i ask of it. Both me and my dad use it for firewood. What more do you want. Now tho i do prefer my makita.
  10. Citroen all the way, i love my C15, 1900cc engine, totally abused, never lets me down.
  11. Cheers chunky, i will have a new one at some point, but for now i'm just throwing myself into work and all the jobs i couldnt do, due to playing with her.
  12. Been mooching around all day. I sadly lost my faithfull dog meg on thursday , and its hit me really hard today. She used to be by my side no matter what i was doing ( as long as it was safe ) or in the van. Today just doing things without her near me has really got to me. Bad day for me really.
  13. Had a good day, been doing a bit of painting (outside wardrobe, i'm making ), put 3 rows of spuds in on the allotment, made some doors for the aforementioned wardrobe, 4 mile walk with the missus and kids, just watched tyson fury boxing, and just fell in love with racheal from countdown after seeing her picture in the favourate tv thread.
  14. Thats brilliant. I really do admire you for that.
  15. My dad has a husqy 135, its a great little saw. I recently did my cs30 with it. Makita's arnt bad little saws that you can get for sub £200. Incidently when i went to the shop to buy my dads husqy, i didnt get ask for my cs30 card.
  16. I'd go for the dolmar, or have a look at picking up a standard makita 6400.
  17. I know the feeling mate !! The wife loved the idea of me being self employed, until i actually went out to work. didnt like me working for women, didnt like me pricing up in the evenings, etc.
  18. Just googled myself and got this :scared1::scared1:
  19. If it was me, i'd be buying new parts.
  20. That's the problem, trying to educate people that cheapest is not the best.
  21. Yes all the time, if i'm not cutting for a few minutes (ie moving logs ) the saw gets turned off.
  22. i tried to use it at the weekend, and it was all over the place. Couldn't understand it at all.
