  1. I have an original fein corded multitool and wouldnt be without it. The blades are getting cheaper by the day, but the quality isnt always there with them. I wouldnt use the multitool on steel though, i dont think theyre really cut out for that type of work, so i would use an angle grinder for that. If your just after a cheapo version, machine mart do a clarke version. But personally i would pay a bit more and get a decent one.
  2. Hi jon, normally i just tell to bugger off, or words to that effect. I have no time for people like that.
  3. Shavey, dont forget to pm me a price for a ps32:thumbup: with carving bar and chain please.
  4. To be honest, i keep looking at the minor. For what i do it seems an ideal choice of machine. If i did more work of that nature, that would enable me to justify one, then thats the machine i would go for.
  5. My head hurts just reading this thread:confused1: It does make for an educational read, but why carnt they make it any easier.
  6. Yes, same here. 5am every morning whether i'm working or not. Try to have enforced relaxation, but then the kids wake and off to war we go !!!!
  7. As others have said. No is the answer. So many other tools are just as dangerous.
  8. Bloody hell, i nearly bought a mini pickup years ago in my teens, everyone were buying capris, i bought a bedford ha van instead.
  9. Shavey Did you put a picture up of the smaller ps320 in full carving setup on here a while back ? If so can you stick us another couple pics up of it please. Cheers
  10. Check out the milling, green woodworking threads for a start. As for equipment most people on here seem to go to Rob D on here, so check him out as well.
  11. Cheers Andrew, i look forward to that. I like the look of the carving set up, its just that i carnt justify one. If the 6100 feels ok, then i have an idea what i want to do with one, once the funds are there.
  12. Yes Andrew, Cheers. I've never known a saw start so easily, its so smooth. Thanks for the gloves and oil. Once i have more pennies i think a 6100 will be in order ( can you pm me a price) Once again thanks for your help. Any joy getting my old one running ? H.
  13. That bench is brilliant, wouldn't mind having a go at something like that myself.
  14. I would love to jon, but i just took delivery of a ps350 today of andrew:thumbup: Need to save some more pennies first jon.
  15. I want one ! Looks very nice, what size bar will you run that on tcd.
  16. Hi all, I'm after a new 18g air nailer/stapler to replace my old one. Ideally i would like one with a soft no mark tip, but dont seem to find any. I am thinking about this one from machine mart https://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/details/clarke-csn1d-2-in-1-air-staple-and-nail-gun-ki Unless anyone has any better ideas:001_smile: Cheers Harvey.
  17. Hi all, Its a 2 stroke variant about 5 years old. Roughly the same model as b&q are now selling for about £90. Its just i hate not knowing what is wrong and how to fix it. I have tried starting with the choke on, but the machine just stubbornly refuses to start. Spud, i only have a basic kit, looks like im going to have to invest in some gear if i'm going to be any good at repairing stuff. Where/what is the best place to start for a compression tester and is there owt else i need to start looking out for, to add to a basic kit. cheers.
  18. Hi, i need help with rectifying the same problem with 2 ryobi strimmers. The problem is that they both start fine from cold, but refuse to start when hot. I know they are only ryobi but they are only used to strim the allotments etc, so they are ok for what they are used for. However, when starting from scratch they start and run ok. But if you switch off after 10 /15 mins say, they just refuse to start again until sufficent time has passed for them to cool down. Any ideas ? cheers H.
  19. cheers aspen, i dont use that much so i just mix 5ltr at a time. I will try this synthetic oil this time round, now i have bought it. Problem is, i use the same fuel in saws and strimmers alike, so i will see if there is any difference.
  20. well i'm truly lost. I've just got some carlube fully synthetic jaso fc oil. I will try that.
  21. I use carlube 2 stroke, it says jaso fb on the back. I take it this is not what you would recomend. They did have an orange one that said jaso fd. so which one is best and why. ( i do run dolmar / maks by the way )
  22. No idea on the efco, but as said previously, the husqy is a capable little saw, my dad has one. But personally i prefer the makita / dolmar saw.
  23. You could of got one those from shavey off here. He's a top bloke to deal with.
