  1. Hi everyone, I apologise if this has been asked time and time again but i've trawled through pages on the training forum to no avail I am looking to find out what is the best course for a beginner in arb theory to go for? There is all sorts, rfs, fdsc, foundation degree, isa etc I live 30 miles from myrescough and 50 miles from askham bryan, it would be good to do a course one day a week, i am currently self employed so i can work around this, i have seen that the one day a week courses last for 3 years..... Online learning is also another possability, with the isa etc, not sure if you can still do the rfs online?? Anyhow, i'm just looking for some help and guidance on what would be best for me and financially aswell. If you can add any input it would be greatly appreciated Thank you Chris
  2. Spotted the study guide, its a cd..... i thought it would be a big fat book lol ahhh, there is a book and a cd or combination of both
  3. is this an ok course for a beginner in theory side of arb? also do you have a link to the study guide? there seems to be two isa websites.... which one is it? cheers
  4. why on earth didn't they just have them felled? or is it to leave a screen till they can afford to replant etc???
  5. You could possibly cut a foot off it and make a clock when i was last in scotland, i saw a lot of clocks made from timber for sale...... could use a part of it as a name plate for your house? carve words/numbers or use a soildering iron...... just a few suggestions
  6. what length is the art guide? looked on jonsies but doesn't say..... wonder if there is a different bend radius of the rope between the pulley on the art guide and the pinto. I take it both setups will allow a spliced eye or stitched eye rope to be used? if so they then need a retreival ball connecting for retreival? Sorry for all the questions just in an inquizative mood tonight lol
  7. so it then goes down to personal preference of the two systems for which one to get....?
  8. can the art rope guide be chokered to a stem?

  14. Evening all, just wondering what the calculation is in which to age a tree..... looked on the internet and get different results Not just counting rings when the tree has been cut, the one where you measure circumference/diameter? at 1.5 metre above ground level..... WIll this alter due to how fast of a growth rate a species has? Cheers

    Heater light

I have a 2000 35 - 150h Just curious as to what to check on it, as the heater plug light doesn't go out like it does on all the other timberwolfs i've used, is it a possibility that there may be a glow plug down etc??? i can hold it on heater for a while and it still doesn't go off..... Also when left in the run position (key) i can remove it and it still runs, should it be like this? cheers
  17. no a 3120 is an 880 equivilant.... depending what bar size you want to run etc, try a 660 cracking saw! i was using one the other day with a 36 inch bar and it pulls like a good'un! i run a 064 with a 25" on at the moment, 066 equivilant, but will take a 36" aswell. i have got a 088 which i haven't really put to the test yet..... they are heavy donkeys and i'd pick my 064 up every time
