  1. what he says..
  2. they're not allowed to do that!!! the police now have their hands tied.... if they'd rammed him off the road and someone else had been hurt, they'd get lynched... the rules on what the police can and cannot do especially when dealing with firearms are now so strict it's unbelievable.. don't forget, we're talking about cumbria here not london,, how many police are there to cover the ground that he did? it's not london, or the south,, the resources are stretched way thinnner than we'd imagine.. do you really think they'd just leave him go on purpose??? the guys in the car will have requested to take action, it will have been a decision above their heads to pull back!!
  3.
  4. that's a sweeping statement.... there's always going to be a hole side of the story you will never know,,, do you believe everything the Beeb tell you? i refer to the watchdog thread if you're unsure...
  5. i'm not saying sign away your duty of care, i'm saying that you have written proof that you have explained to the customer you are not in agreement with what they want you to do, your professional opinion is to fell and replace.. and I'm not saying this as someone who knows some one whos done it,, it is company practice at the country's largest snowsport retailer,, it covers their backside and i've seen it stand up in court,, 1st hand.. it is not negligence,,, in fact it is quite the opposite..

  7. actually mick they do stand up.. we used to use them with boot fitting and ski fitting, sounds gay as but customers used to "insist" they were experts when blatantly they weren't, so in that case we'd do a disclaimer,, they came back several times when customers went onto break legs/ knees using kit that was too advanced for them,, our legal lot would then produce the boot/ski fitting record with the disclaimer... we won every time...
  8. from what i've experienced in the 5 mins here people seem to get VERY sentimental over oaks.... re refusing to do it, if you do, you will drive past in a wek or two to see it done anyway,, maybe do it, but get a disclaimer signed that you have advised of the integrity of the tree. have recommended felling etc etc.. that way you have done your bit,,, and still got paid??
  9. a very long winded thread for what is essentially a question you answered in your first post.. you say" I've heard the Echo CS-350TES is the next best thing." just by saying this,,, you say yourself that the 200t is the best.. don't fight it.... get another 200t......
  10. my mum had hers done. both at the same time,,, she is a bit older though,, I'm 36 and it's hit me smack in the face about a month back,,, both hands are locked solid in the morning, wrists feel like someones stabbing them during the night.. 3.15pm and mine are still hurting like hell... i know i'm putting it off but work is busy, and i cannot afford time off....
  11. i'm suffering with this fairly badly at the moment,, I'm sucking it up......can't afford time off work...

    Saddo's

  24. i like it, nice and simple.. do have one small niggle, on the front page you say " and to help educate customers on the best tree pactices." as a customer i don't want to feel that i need to be "educated" as they say, the customer is always right. now even though we all know that isn't true, the correct statement should read "the customer always "thinks" he's right. personally i'd not want to know on the front page that i was going to be "educated" and pay for the pleasure.. i think it just needs a little re wording.. my 2 cents,, feel free to ignore,,, but you did ask..:-)
