    todays job,

here's todays pics... will take a few to get them up..t the first few are of a very few handkerchief tree's. you have to look close, then onto the acers.. so today was a reduction to an old oak, poor old thing had some pretty heavy storm damage, then a crown lift on a beech and finally felling a big sycamore or two..who says old guys are too slow...

  9. hey max, you'll be reet mate, my 38/39 was 6 days... we did 5 days,, then had day 6 2 days before assesment it worked really well as after 5 days of intensive 38/39 the brain is jelly, if not then your arms will be...

    chin strap

have to say there were two guys on assessment for 38/39 with me and both were using those lids with an elastic chinstrap... no questions asked by the assessor and the guy doing the assessing was the one that wrote the book... personally i use a petzl..

  16. twas sunday night humor...
  17. in my last job the bonuses were HUGE... brilliant fun and all that, don't see it working the same over here though.. i'll "tip" any subbies working for me if they do a good job.. something i used to do for my paid athletes in stead of "photo incentive" (didn't agree with the way it worked) was if the athlete got a front cover on a mag or a good result in a comp then i'd go buy them something i knew they wanted, one guy got an i pod touch, another got a laptop, another got a new double bed, etc etc... this worked very well, there was no routine or set pattern, it was purely down to them performing as they should, ( it was their job anyway) and if they did good i'd reward..
  18. so who won the blower on ebay last night? it went up in price real quick at the end..

    stihl 362??

no clutch slipping here... re the weight, same as cars really, as modern tech allows them to improve one area it usually means taking from somewhere else,,, nothing is for free.. so, with the 362 you get improved emissions( like you care) AND 20% better fuel economy (claimed) the down side,,, a little more weight,,, to be honest you'd only ever know if you were carrying a 61 and a 62 together.....
  23. my two cents.. i'd be wary of how many colors you are using,,, 4 colors at least by my reckoning aint going to be cheap, IF you are getting these done with vista then you MAY be a little disappointed with the finished article, the paper used and the way they print will leave the colors looking washed out and faded.. you can get a much better quality print using your local print firm, you've just got to ask about and negotiate a little... vista is cheap for a reason../.........
  24. you forgot in the list of faults that " IT"S A NISSAN" re the ford price... sounds like a lot for a ford?? but that money wouldn't even get you a 25 year old knackered landy tipper...
