  2. 2 srt lines is good too
  3. Get the cougar if you want a great all round rope that isnt too stretchy even on a base anchor.
  4. hahah you're screwed jesse:001_tt2: I reckon it will be good on htp if its good on km3:thumbup:
  5. good on you guys for getting something on the go t'up north
  6. nice work coleyman
  7. Yeah absolutely mate the shorter and tighter the link between the two.. within reason.. the safer I guess it is at mitigating a base anchor cut scenario. I need to get myself a pulley saver body and the twin ring loop and try this out. So far for retrievable srt anchors ive been using a normal cambium saver and locking a bunny alpine on the big ring and taking the retrieval line with me. Makes for an easy switch back to ddrt too for those that want to. Pull down the bunny alpine and retrieve as normal ddrt with a ring and ring. Its no way near as intelligent as yours:thumbup1:
  8. Elegant solutions being played with there sir! Im too lazy dsrt... I base anchor one and top tie the other with the retrieval leg anchored into the base anchor side of the other system
  9. I use this and its bloody awesome!! Insulated steel travel cup with built in plunger and lid Buy BODUM 11068-01 Travel Mug - Black | Free Delivery | Currys

  11. It was a great weekend! good to meet new faces and catch up with some mates Sorry If I bumped into anyone and didnt have much time to chat. It was a bit hectic!
  12. lol! Dont be disappointed but ive been mixing both in the same tree! Ive got a sweet way of running my line in the normal direction through a cambium saver that can be locked off on the big ring so you can switch back and forth. Can we have an Every Rope Technique tree?
  13. in pirbright? nice trees will be a shame to see them go. hope you are re planting
  14. can i have a go at the ddrt work climb on a single line dan? you know i like to stir the pot
  15. 10mm ap in the cinch will be sexuallllll
  16. Heavy?! you should try some vortex coleyman
  17. Stick to what you know then? Like Jesse says im sure it will work differently when it gets a little fluffed up. Part of the problem is that you're using a HH hahaha! maybe you should try a good device
  18. WORD:blushing:
  19. What makes you think it wont be consistent or have a predictable performance just because it doesnt have a CE mark? Yale are a great rope manufacturer and put out great products.. Perhaps what you meant was the reason those particular ropes in the american version wont get a CE is they dont meet the requisite elongation characteristics for a semi static rope here in europe.. But I dont know, Im not a loler inspector, I am a cynic though.
  20. They are two completely different cords. Blue is new style. The yellow and black is the old kind. The blue is basically the same as the 8mm but thicker. The older yellow and black stuff has a polyester core and a higher proportion of polyester in the cover compared to the new one which seems to be mostly technora with a wee bit of poly in the cover like the 8mm version has always been...
  21. If you dont want to experiment maybe stick to a prussic on a serious note, the only reason i can think of for you having trouble is perhaps that a cord/hitch will perform differently with the friction sink above it to below it.?? Maybe stick the suggested hitch cord for the device? im sure theres a reason that is the recommended cord. Ive found the old beeline to work great on my cougar too. Maybe you're just fussy:lol:
