Ben brigade i like that.. Just a year and a half in oz mate.. Didnt fell any but i got up a lot of the biggest regnans in victoria to measure height and timber volume with a few guys who do a bit of research there.Quite a few were over 200cube of timber just in the stem wood. Felled and pruned some decent size trees mind:001_smile: I enjoyed the video
  4. you need to unweight your rope to add in the f8.. not always ideal in a rescue. I would use a wrench. You cant drop the pin cos you dont need to take it out!!! thats what the little slot is for.
  5. having used ians and treekits runners theres a massive difference once they bed in... i think you just need to do a few hundred fast desents Rich...
  6. I would go with beal dynastat.. good with ascenders, not too static but not like bungee cord either plus it turns dynamic if you take a fall on it.. 10.5mm. I know a few people who use it with the wrench. they have no grumbles.

Hhaha n worries ben, that is a reasonably large tree.... I would give it small large status.. 40-60m medium large then 60+m is large large lol. Looking good here from the ben club.

Nice video, good tunes, sweet rigging.... MAN I MISS KILLING CLADOCALYX!! I wouldnt call it a large one though.. although maybe they dont go as big in adelaide.. drier than melbourne?
  9. Sorry old mill totally misread that one.. Jesse converted me to volcano, its awesome. Saying that im using hrc again now.. I need to order some volcano before the armorprus arrives!
  10. Blue gums are awesome to work on!!!
  11. no epi cord is different to volcano.. but volcano is really good in 10mm
  12. Anyone know who is running the course (instructors?) Wish I could get along, I might learn something....
  13. helps if you put a link dude....
  14. ^^^ WORD:thumbup1:
  15. I use aztec cougar blue and i have some vortex coming paul.. most people dont even seem to know or care what im using...?
  16. Get ze cougar blue..
  17. I would imagine Paul is talking about the american PI and calamine which is static as fook. The PI etc that we get in europe is a different rope to meet CE/EN standards. Its just the same colour:sneaky2:
  18. ^^^ W O R D:thumbup:
  19. Could be fairly easily converted to a rescue anchor though if the groundy knows how... and your not stropped in..
  20. Indeed I have. Seems to be better at cinching on stems without forks than the minty. Swings and roundabouts... if either dont pull out you can get into an awkward position.. best to carry a prussic with you so you can pull up the tail and get yourself out of trouble.. or use it for a 3:1, or a redirect:thumbup:
  21. Looking forward to seeing you at cutters and climbers Paul!
  22. [ame] [/ame] skip to 2mins.. or suck it up and climb up thru the branch he does make a bit of a meal of it though. I just clip into the prussic and disconnect my system and throw it over the fork
  23. ohh yaaaahhhh we neeed more shockload!! (german accent)
