1. I thought this was the case with TPOd trees.
  2. Did they send that message as an email attachment or did you have to collect it from your local dealer?
  3. Well - I sent an invoice for my 'consultancy' ages ago and ..... this morning I received a cheque for the figure I invoiced! I will probably never work for him again but I feel a lot better. I love a happy ending. PS I don't know if he ever got the work done by 'Batman' but don't really care.
  4. I think the result may have been different if you had not been in???? He may have been a window opener.
  5. I've seen one of those in the States wit a clamp on the front to hold a stump grinder on the platform - and a chipping box on the back. Just need a PTO chipper and it's everything in one vehicle - gimmee!
  6. They must have tough gravel round your way. Not trying to be funny (really!) but it may be worth checking the flywheel bearings after that 'gravel' pounding the anvil/flywheel. Hope it's all good
  7. Feeling relieved that England are in a tough group. 1. Good excuse not to get to the second stage. 2. Business will pick up sooner as everyone will lose interest when England are out. Trying to find a bright side here.
  8.

I can understand if you are busy, but it don't take long to explain what the delay is.

It has been a long time now since I transferred you the money.

Unfortunately the last time I was frequently ignored it turned out to be a scam.

The guy had loads of reasons why it wasn't delivered.

If this is a scam at least let me know so I can get a chain vice from elsewhere.

I just want to get a chain vice - having already paid for one.

Yours bemusedly

  9.
Can you PLEASE let me know whats going on with the chain vice

  10. I'd rather sweep up a few chips than change flywheel bearings any day (or most days) Tin hat on! If I had millions of pounds and a 30 ton truck I might go for a big bandit. We all freely offer our opinions on here, but after looking and trying some you may find something different. Go look and try. Good luck
  11. It doesn't look too terrierable to me. There couold be some rotweiler in the chassis though.
  12. Here we go again.....
  13. The footwell part of the bulkhead looks Ok, but the door hinges will need looking at. If all it needs is a new bulkhead it might be worth a punt. Performance shouldn't be an issue, though insurance and mid-transmission spares might provide a surprise. He's happy for people to have a looksy so more genuine than some people on this forum (oops - ignore that last bit).
  14. Apparently they weren't called bearcat originally, the last part of the name was changed as it violated the EU foul language policy.
  15. Theres alway people who will say you can't because..... Well bully for them - because you CAN if...... You just need to fill in that gap. Your question above is a start. If you are determined you can succeed, every time you get knocked down, pick yourself up and carry on with YOUR plan. Those who say you cant, will be those who tell you how lucky you are when you succeed!
  16. One of the previous posts had a link - avec boucoup de feedback.
  17. Have you read the feedback on these saws? Its cheaper than a silky with a spare blade! PS leave poor old Ty alone, everyone knows what is meant by a topper.
  18. Why does everyone make a big thing out of someone famous 'coming out'? I couldn't care less, I wish him well but so what? Just because people aren't against gayness doesn't mean a load of pink flag waving is called for. Everyone is different, and as long as people don't harm (physically or mentally) others is there really a need for all this bleedin publicity? Leave him in peace to get on with his own life. The end.
  19. We have a new commandment for tree work
  20. Some things seem to be created because they are possible, rather than required (art)?. I suspect necessity was NOT the mother of this invention (science). I think I'll get my old camera out and burn a few pencils.

    Snowmen

They look really good! Nice one
  22. Shame they won't get it though.
  23. Very sad, and somewhat ironic.
  24. Volvo 740 estate (with 240,000 miles) and a 8x5 trailer, husky 55 and new climbing gear for college course. Groundie was my 16 year old daughter (after her CS30/31 course). Upgraded to a treebusta - sat on pallets so it would blow into the trailer. Then LT35 van - back 1/3rd boarded out - TW 6 inch chipper to fill it - 10 mins to shovel out. Now run transit tipper, Greenmech 15/13 and loads of other toys acquired over the years Evolution rather than revolution
  25. What did the customer actually ask them to do? Was approval obtained from the council for any work?
