No but the name on the mot is the same surname as the names of the salesman I have just been through the invoice and it has some really nasty little terms and conditions in it It also specifys it is a trade sales invoice and i think theres other bits of paper they never gave me a copy of trying to get me to say its a trade sale but i dont know if any of this is legal as i bought it for personal use and the terms and conditions arr really quite dodgy saying that they in no way state the vehicle is in a usable state However the salesman repeatedly said so I really hope trading standards can get hold of this lot I did manage to find the trading name of the company and then the director but his registered address is a littele tiny flat

No its independent company I dont know why they try to make out they are a big national dealers but all the info i can find is of one address and they make out there are lots of departments but its one little office obviously something dodgy going on I am totally gutted i spent good money on the truck as it is really clean looking and low millage but now its obvious they have gone to fair lengths to hide this damage and i cant believe they can carry on like this with bo remorse and no repercussions and now i really dont know what to do god knows how long the legal route will take

Ive spoken to both the garage and trading standards today traiding standards seem to be aware of them already The garage told me he didnt care about consumer rights he doesnt care that what he has done is illegal hes not going to take any notice that he is meant to offer me money back or a replacement and that he will just let me go to court I thought buying from a large dealer that specialises in pickups would make life easier

  5. Drive a 2.5 ton doosan regularly big front tires and pneumatic Will drive across any flatish surface road plannings are fine dont go nrear anything to soft and its fine If anyone gets it stuck its because they have turned to tughtly and the rear wheels have acted as an anchor and its dug the road plannings away Why not a mofit or even better a manitou equivalent have 3 wheel drive with difflock loads of different options some will drive sideways some have 3rd services the manitou is better to drive than moffets and could have buckets and log grabs fitted easily and would be cool having one on the back of a timber trailer

Thanks i have contacted trading standards and citizens advice and hopefully will here from them tomorrow hopefully the garage plays ball and isnt difficult but it seems its not the first time they have done this after a search of the web There isnt much to take photos off it has been hidden well its only when i fitted larger tyres that i realised something was wrong as the tyre touched the wheel arch on one side when turning and not the other then i realised the metal under the bonet was rippled and the front headlight was stuck in place and it explains why the truck pulls dangerously to one side on motorways that i at first put down to having a slightly warn front tire but im not happy driving it now I paid top money for it as it seemed very straght from the outside and no rust underneath and if i hadnt of fitted the new tyres i probally never would have noticed the problems the gave it a going over and found trailer wiring doesnt work and a couple of lights have no pwer to them so it cant have passed an mot and im sure a good mot station would have picked up on the front end been out of alighn

Unfortunately its just over 30 days didnt bother hpi it as it came from a big dealer but will check i dont think its cat d i just think it was really poorly repaired and sold as a top quality truck I will ring the garage again and if they ignore go in there but dont know what will come of it just really pissed offf it was meant to be a good truck to replace my ranger after its cracked so currently have 2 piles of junk outside Dont know how much sway trading standars really have and will they bother with such small cases

Im wondering if anyone can offer some wizdom I bought a truck just over a month ago Was looking under it today and noticed its been in a severe crash the front left hand suspension is pushed back an inch or so which acounts for it pulling to the left and there are several things that wouldn't pass an mot despite the garage selling it with fresh mot which is quite obviously dodgy Looking online its not the first time this garage has done it and i was wondering what is the best course of action
  10. I prefer to be subtle Put the petrol can back in the van after they have just got it out Empty the saw theyve just filled up and sit and watch as they think theyre going insane
  11. Machines ive worked on with extra services have gone for the changeover valve fitted to the headstock as it is far easier to run a wire up the boom than try and get 2 extra pipes up the boom If the pipes on the sanderson are one the outside of the boom the wire will be easy to run just cable tie it to a pipe But if they are run up the middle of the boom getting the boom apart is a horrible job
  12. Check for wear in the pads for the boom they are a pig to cange and shim correctly and sevre wear is really horrible with weight at fill extension Look with boom fully extended Also merlos commonly catch fire to the brakes if not cleaned properly especially after loading srraw i believe the break disk can be easily seen from underneath on most models and checj the inching pedal works this is the far left pedal on merlos as they commonly fail
  13. Where i used to work we regularly roaded a swing round wrag on the front links fowards visibility was not the problem you could see the front easily and doesnt block much with the mas the problem was pulling out of junctions when it was over 15 feet infront of the seat but a proper setup would be closer than a bucket anyway Have you looked at getting a tow ball fitted was a couple of threads on here or ce forum about it would give you more versatility and a falling weight type setup on the back could get amazing places would just be impossible to transport
  14. And to add a toe tip bucket will improve the job no end speeds it up makes it easier and safer as virtually eliminates the chances of careless operators hitting anything anything
  15. The pivot steer jcb are less the 5 meters reach 5 and a half will do it easily between the bars with a grain bucket on For this type of work i would highly highly recommend a jcb 526s farm special brialliant built machines very easy to qork on very simple Ofcourse a side engine magchine will out perm it but the rear engined ones are just a really tough little machine with engine out the way and no easily damaged fiberglass hood the side Will load a walking floor generally very good machines Every merlo i have driven has suffered electrical gremlins especially related to the inching pedal Newer jcs dont have the build quality of the older ones or of there competitors There was a rear engined new holland on ebay the other weak they have most the plus points of the jcb 526 s easier to use rear hitch but slighly jerky hydralics
  16. They are the same pair of trousers you will notice on the ruff n tuff website 2 identical looking pairs of trousers one approx 10 quid more expensive same with the loggers The more expensive ones are pre washed so they have already shrunk the cheaper ones are as is so will shrink over about 10 washes otherwise same trousers of same production line
  17. The coopers get very poor reviews on all the American websires apparently they wear quickly and dont stop you in the cold I went for yokohama geolanders at and have been very pleased with them they are very similar pattern to the coopers i think maxis also offer the pattern
  18. Carhartt 5 pocket carpepenters or double front logger pant Absolutely brilliant trousers worth the extra money and i wont buy anything available in this country Have 4 pairs at any time 2 good and 2 work Once they go to work wear they last nearly 2 years of heavy use but dont keep track of how long there nice trousers before that Couldnt recomend them highly enough and they are the perfect fit for working in not to tight not to loose
  19. Is this for the mk5 d4d or the mk6 version i cant find anything about this for my 2003
  20. I think there has been one or two hreads on here about replacement injectors and same on hpoc forum
  21. All the time ive had the truck its been on them so i couldnt say the difference but the ground clearance is amazing The brakes still stop you you just have to ease of especially in the wet when empty just takes that little bit further to stop but fine if driving at sensible speeds its just something to be aware of Power wise a mk2 ranger has no problem spinning them and over the farm truck which is a mk2 with the newer engine but 23570 r 15 fitted it chucks you forward far faster and goes better with the extra radius in my opinion id go for the bigger tyres everytime and just drive sensibly
  22. Just be aware by the time you have that size tyre in an AT on an unloaded pickup the breaking ability is some what dismal I have 265 70 r15 yokohama geolanders on my ranger and i think there briliant i got them for 75 a tyre but since brexit there now 100 quid so may aswell go for bfg Maxis have some good deals to And i think if u want At or muds the range is equal for 15 or 16 inch rims its only road tyre options that are poor
  23. Ranger mk2 can go upto 31 10.5 r15 or 265 70 r 15 Without catching the wheel arches they are the same size j7st metric and imperial versions
  24. Just a warning the colour coding and pin arrangement of 12v 7 pin plugs and 24v 7 pin plugs is completely different And i couldnt find anywhere only a conversion chart took hours of changing wires to get it sorted
  25. They are the same tibs for sure on rangers Is it definitely a truckman brand if you know the model someone might have the same that can tell u about the ladder rack my old ranger with the base model truckman retained its ladder rack as did my new one with an aero branded canopy
