  1. Hi i was wondering if anyone had one of the lidl florabest chain sharpeners that they nolonger want and would be willing to sell or any of the similar models Thanks
  2. My mate went to pick up am ifor canopy for me both rangers his a king cab mine double Put it on the look on his face when he realised how little bed space he had gained from such a massive sacrafice to the cab was priceless 6 inches difference on a ranger but the inability to carry an adult in the back seats The only thing is it makes a slightly more evenly distributed load

    Helmets

+1 for Petzl vertex vent I would rather spend my own money to wear one of these if the boss offered me anything less (Groundwork only the boss will only buy cheap stihl ground helmets )
  4. The problem is that if the waste is tipped on the road it is cleared by the highways department and from there budget for example Surrey highways is run by kier The tips are run by a different department with a different budget so there wont be any cooperation

    Boots

Someone i used to work with wore the husqvarnad and i have never seen a pair of boots put up with so much abuse i dont use chainsaw boots very often so my cheap oregons look new after 3 years but if i ever have to wear chainsaw boots full time it will be the husqvarna i buy as i go through regular boots every 6 months so tbh it would be more economical to just buy the husqvarnas

    Log Cabins

If there is no dwelling on a plot of land im pretty sure anything you do requires planning permission even a caravan as its change of use the council round here have got fed up with people putting caravans a n fields and have tightened every loophole going they won't even give permission for lambing caravans anymore
  7. What are you coming from to compare it to have you been hand feeding ?? What do you mean by large ?? Whole tree chipper ?? Its either vermeer or bandit put cranes or there tracked chippers would that be something worth looking into for you as that might give a feed characteristic more like you are used to rather than the tractor mounted machines designed with biomass production in mind ?? Obviously the bandits go to 36inch capacity so a brute of a machine
  8. But none of the others can do both at the same time they all have a 6 tonne train weight so if you carry a tonne in the back you can only have a 2.5 tonne trailer and a 3.5 tonne trailer means no carrying capacity in the truck i think the ford with driver and trailer can barely carry a passenger This is 7 tonne train so can do both I know there are certain vans that are aswell as some defenders but i posted this as its the first pickup meaning you could be legal towing a 2.7 tonne machine with an array of attatchments in the load bed or the like
  9. I dit think you would need the spring pieces or anything just a c shape of the thick metal welded to a headstock mount with the inner c slightly bigger than the posts Drive up to post so the c shape is nextto post turn wheel so post enters the c crowd back and the post be gripped lift post out ground uncrowd and post will become loose Like how a formwork pin puller works https://www.google.co.uk/search?safe=off&client=ms-android-motorola&ei=bFS9WvfbJMqy0gXX-peIAg&q=road+form+k+pin+puller&oq=road+form+k+pin+puller&gs_l=mobile-gws-serp.3...38254.43633..44111...2....131.2052.14j7..........1..mobile-gws-wiz-serp.......0i71j0i8i30j0i13i30j0i7i30j0i30.rkjiuY6OwR4%3D#imgrc=x1nnZEAVMxpSMM:
  10. I believe the greenmech quadtrak is even lighter than the tp but looks to have quite a short track length for loading up steep ramps i think if you are buying a van a beaver tail would be preferable to start with as i always find the breakover point on tracked machines the worst part about loading them
  11. If its fallen onto coulncil land ring the council they have a department that deals in stuff like this so they may well give you access from there land or even arrange for it to be sorted by one of there approved contractors and forward the bill i dont think they add to the bill and generally there contractors will just move it with machine so might end up cheaper than a smaller tree surgeon taking longer to do it
  12. Just seen this advertised as the first pick up to tow 3.5 tonne legally whilst still carrying a tonne in the back Might be of interest to some as all the others have a pathetic carrying capacity with a fully layden trailer
  13. Is that the old angle grinder or new one i have the new brushless one and will last quite a while on heavy grinding with a 5ah battery
  14. Make sure you store the cartridges cap up definitely not on there side or ring pull up so the grease settles so any air is at the cap end and it nice and flat for the plunger to push against and make sure the handle is out when ypu screw it back together and release the plunger this will give ypu the best chaof it working straight off and dping it this way qith good lithium grease i cant remember the last time i had an airlock also storing the grease gun upright seems to help stop air bubbles forming If all else fails open the handle and a good quality grease gun should have a little ball valve to depress with the tip of a screwdriver to sort out air
  15. they make a rear handled one aswell amd i think knocking the batterys must be bad luck as ive dropped lxt tools 10 feet and not had any problems so far
  16. Mcnaught and alemite and the best ive used the alemite 2speed pistol grip is by far the best of the best but is around 50 quid
  17. Just thought I'd remind everyone as i posted ast year but it was a bit to late The agricultural machinery show lamma is on next week and will should have a lot of different manufacturers of these there if last year is anything to go by there where atleast 10 different manufacturers Its free entry at the east of England showground http://www.lammashow.com
  18. Why not look for a rear mast for your current tractor will work out cheaper than a whole new tractor And a small rotator shouldnt be 500kg i can drag one round the floor easy enough so would guess no more than 200 kg This is a scrap yard type not a potato box type
  19. I have got that far but it then lists every post from every thread rather than just every thread so on my phone its taking ages to scroll through
  20. Is there anyway i can edit this list so each thread only shows up once rather than everytime a post is made i cant find any settings for it
  21. Look around at the trailers first i have seen quite a few with the slots for them already fitted Varying from 100mm square down to scaffold tube size
  22. Have used the scafolding mesh before and it works To secure bolt 4x1 onto each leg pull netting tight and nail 1x1.5 batton ovet the top so it spreads rhe load as much as possible
  23. Its now available with a telescopic boom aswell
  24. It would incur the same problem of blowing the pressure relief valve but if your not worried about that it would be very simple undo one one end of one pipe find corresponding t piece one end goes to pipe one end to ram and third end to a quick copling or a short pipe to quick copling depending where you want it mounted
  25. If you do use the auxiliaries you will be blowing the pressure relief valve as the ripper will be single acting Also it may be easier to tap into the blade circuit so you can use the digger and tip together Depending on the 4x4 you have the are pto hydraulic kits available Especially for defenders but they are available for alsorts If not a hydraulic pump of a taillift is a good option or a transit tipper as they are small and self contained
