were you working on coppice stalls felling multiple stems at the same time ??

what about a tp 230 that is only 10hp under the massey and should fare fine if you have and economy setting on the pto why not run it in that as it should drop the revs of the engine and in theory allow the stress control to work

i'm on nd and the lecturers would rather theach us the tree id than anything else and theres only about 3 of us that appreciate this and even though i havn't been trying recently i can still remember most common trees and some not so common trees in english and latin but i love the subject especially when they start talking about forestry and woodland managment as thats what intrests me so i can learn it very easily that and anything machinery wise

as said if your working on cord deffinately good if you get one though i would deffinately say get a log deck or make one as it is then entirely a one man opperation also specify it with an extactor as you will get ick of chovelling up what doesn't get extracted after a long day processing let alone trying to shovel up everything es there is easily a cubic meter of chips with a chain one different models have different benefits the larger dalen machines are very ergonomically desighnedand can go far quicker than say a base spec posch all this also means that you would benefit from haveing a loader with interchangable tines and log grab aswell

to test place your foot firmly on the pedal with the engine off and start the engine if the pedal sinks the servo is fine if it doesn't theres a problem

i like it for net bags it satcks nicely in the fuelwood trays for netbagging and makes really consistant neat bags as opposed to the small logs that get set aside for it as they are often the last length porrly snedded out and bendy and make naff bags

i always wear a helmet after seeing a pic of the affects kickback had on one by someone on here and would not like that to happen to my head whynot get the husqvarna or oregon ones they were fairly cheap last time i looked on jonesies

when u say press harder do u mean u have to get the pedal closer to the floor than u used to or that it requires more effort to get it to the same position the first i would do as above the second i would think is a servo problem probally a vacume leak

i personally think u get way more for your money with a dedicated machine cheap loader tractors are wanted for horse yards which seems to make them poor value for money i would say u would deffinately prefer a 4x4 tractor as they can just go that bit further wihch is always helpfull telehandlers are good as there outreach is increadbly usefull Telescopic handlers ? Used Telescopic handlers - Telescopic handlers for Sale at Agriaffaires also the ag machines have a third service to opperate an attachment and set of forks with a beak is deffinately useful as theres no changing of implements older loader tracotrs may not have this which makes handling timber harder also there are some reasonable loading shovels out there http://www.agriaffaires.co.uk/used/1/wheel-loaders.html

if you clear public road and an accident occurs on it you are liable so make sure ur insurance covers it

drop the sides down and pull it off by the rear two handles with one foot either side of the bag takes practice but is easy and emptys the bag for u

i wouldn't trust the bent metal hooks on the trailer to hold if that load went anywhere even with straps to all available tie down points on that size trailer there can only be a couple of hooks down each size tbh if ur job involves moving plant you should have the correct equipment which in my eyes would be a tri axle plant trailer specifically desighned for use with a 7.5 tonner as i think flatbeds put the load way to high up but then again i have seen a mog towing a matbro telehandler on a twin axle ifor so people really don't think ahead

you deffinately can on old landies and four traks and i think u can on other 4x4s its only if operating the hubs also triggers something else in the 4wd ssystem which i'm not sure about individual models with

valtra and fendt are the obvios because as far as i know they are the only flat cabed machines everything else i've seen the seat is built into a suround some of the less well known makes might have flat cabs i've never worked with the likes of same and landbourgini

they can argue that ur doing this to defraud them if they catch u i think u'd have to have the change over valve rigged to the hi-lo range selector or something so u can only use red when in low range

the cap dosn't push the excess oil out the way like with the petrol cap just don't fill the oil right up usually seems to solve it -
there was an article in the latest forestry journel with quite a few of these machines in it peoviding a bigger scope to look at some of them looked quite interesting especially the micro harvesters and brush cutting atachments

when we run out off vented bag we lay a large pile of bags on the floor heat a rubble fork on the stove we have lunch around and jam it through the pile off bags as its the quickest way to do it

no i meant thats when were on tree surgery jobs nothing goes for the fowarder that is small enough to do anything other than top and tail

we do anything and everything but i was always taught if its small enough end over end it into a pile for the fowarder if not just leave it nothing to be shorter than the fowarder bunks on comercial jobs with domestic or tree surgery work dut to whichevr size is most efficient to handle i think there is one felling bar between everyone in the lock up but most the time wedges are used

who has these and what do u think of them a couple of the guys at work have them yard work but seeing as i always need to be wearing a helmet are there any fm radio ones that clip in to the helmets also what make are best the ones they use at work are hellber, are the sordin or peltor ones any different

wow u lot are organised we usually just carry a whole spare saw as its easiest and just cut the logs to the appropriate size that u just pick it up with ur hands i'm the only person as well that uses a guide when filing
