  1. we use an articulated ferrari at college and is perfect for this same size as 20hp kubota but 35hp and ways a tonne it has no trouble pulling out anything wwith in reason even huge lumps of cord that u wouldn't expect a llandy to touch and it being an arctic means its more manouverable in the woods and less prone to tipping
  2. why not an out front deck husky if not collecting they are infanately more manourable and you can get right up to the edges with them

  12. we are taught to light fires at college with a coke can full of petrol soaked sawdust however i have set myself on fire many a time playing with petrol i find the best stuff to poor on an already going fire chainoil as it takes more to ignite and lasts longer
  13. if u have wooden sides theyll just come through them to get the small stuff our container had the covered expensive padlock and they just took a disc cutter straight to it and if you make it to hard to open the doors they'll just oxcy a whole in one of them this hhappened to a local scrap marchant
  14. storage containers may be bomb proof but certainly arn't pickey proof i know someone in horley who runs a self storage wherehouse which is in the middle of town so plenty of people to keep watch and someone near dorking who has a whole farm turned into self storage which is very secure as most the units are purpose buiilt if either are of interest pm me and give you there number
  15. the engelbert straus one is great it has a zip out lining for the summer far to many pockets and it even has slips in the side to put gloved hands in rather than the top entry pockets and its only £19
  16. i would recomend an alpibne tractor over a quad as they have more weight to put the torque down and have a fair few horsies under the bonnet also the centre steer versions can drive into some ridiculously tight corners and are so easy to reverse a trailer with over a quad plus they have rops
  17. someone i know supplies all his guys with them to be kept in a kit bag and writes out a risk assesment to say they don't need them then every time they get audited they are there if the auditor has a go at them and they don't have to stop work to go and get a pair

i am the same size as you almost all the haix are available in 14 i couldn't find many other brands that go above 12 so got the protector pros the hiflexs are good on length i've found chainsaw trousers don't need to be as long in the leg due to the bulky size of the boots i have currently got a pair of engelbert strauss trousers which are available in an extra long leg version and there great but only type a's

  20. footman james and my mate whos younger than me with a series 3 has £750
  21. i have a series 2a and from when i past my test at 17 its £850 a year
  22. i was speaking to a contractor who was debating gaurding his tractor but he came to the conclusion after alot of research that the guarding made it to heavy for feild work and made it a pain as the raer windows can't be opened
  23. i have used posch and dallen machines and found the posch truely awful to use in comparison the way the logs have to roll into the splitter made it a nightmare on hardwood or even the slightest peg the controls were very poor ergonomically and the splitting function isn't even automatic whereas the dallen is increadibly ergonomic one handed control making it much qyuicker asweell there is a straight drop into the splitter which means it gets to the splitter as it should most the time unless the log is increadibly bent and the splitting function is automatic saving time the dallen is also very well built and very simple also i would say a log deck is a must otherwise using the processor is no quicker than seperate machines and a log deck requires a machine to load
