  1. the gp at work has a hitch fitted right out the back either that or get the pickup hitch (some are specifically desighned to bolt on to a flat surface rather than a particular machine ) or fit an extension to your trailer draw bar
  2. i have a set of ess ice and they are great i use them for brushcutting although the clear lense is now a bit crap as we were in blackbury patches i also where them for airsoft and have never had a pellet enter round the side of the glasses like the bolle ones tend to do also oakley do full wraparround glasses
  3. you will find it difficult to run if you have electronic fuel injection as that will require a heater in the system and still may not run if its a mechanical fuel pump the difflock link above should give a percentage of how much you can mix in summer or winter
  4. footman james TPFT its insured as a classic with limited milage to 5000 free breakdown cover and 30 day europen cover and legal cover if my dad where to hold the policy without me it would be £50 fully comp but it is my own policy with only me dad as a named driver

    iveco 4x4

it lifts up when you drop the tailgate for tipping so that the tail gate gets pushed out of the way of the tow ball otherwise the tailgate gets bent

  10. i don't know much about the side of things you guys are discussing although i wish to learn however don't you think a bigger part of what arb will be like in 10 years will be health and safty in 10 years do you think you'll be aloud to climb or will it all be mechanized it wouldn't suprise me if a whole gangs work could be done by 2 blokes and a machine what hse will alow you to do will have a far greater efect than what is needed and tree work will shrink as it costs more and more to do simple jobs this is just my opinion as the next generation of arb after seeing what construction is like by comparison and how little regulation arb has by comparison
  11. you have to search around at different models of the same vehicle like engines and trim levels modifications and so on there doesn't appear to be ryhme or reason to why inssurance companys like one extra or modifacation and not another the 2 sea swb trooper is cheaper to insure with the nfu than a normal one for young people however other insurance companys will charge you more i have a series 2 landy and my insurance is £800 and i am 17 with 1 mnth past my test if you lloked at lwb landys they appear to be more i think there considered harder to drive than a 90 also if looking at pickups see the difference between single cab and double and whether its registered and private lights goods commercial dual purpose or recreational vehicle because depending which dealer registered it it will change even on seamingly identical vehicles and these will change insurance quotes
  12. what a bout a landy a 90 hard top is suprisingly cheap to insure for teenagers and would tow more and go further than anything else or a suzuki samari or vitara or jimny cheap to insure and will go very far offroad disco or trooper comertials are also good for insurance and nissan terrano for some reason comercials are cheaper for younger guys to insure but pickups are more
  13. can anyone tell me what time honey brothers are open until on weekdays and are they open saturdays thanks harry
  14. are pinzgaurs to small for you ?? or how about the big russian kit Your First Choice for Russian Trucks and Military Vehicles - UK Russian Trucks
  15. the ground source heat is really good the farmer who built his house in a barn reconds he pays something ridiculously low (can't remember exact figure) as he has such a large system the only expensive part is the industrial heat exchanger
  16. once you've done cat c you will have to take cat c+e to tow with which i belive is arctic i belive now you can't skip straight to arctic you have to do rigid first
  17. get the 3.1 ltr as the newer 3 ltrs are can have alot of problems and what engine has the patrol got mr blair
  18. as above they are absoulotely brilliant tow motors they'll tow 4 ton up a very steep hill and not nottice however stopping is fun however they are increadibly unreliable if not looked after and rust badly how about a pre 98 trooper tow 3.5 ton reliable and comfier than a land cruiser colarado

  20. depending what measurement you sell your logs by it might be fun to do althou probally not very economical it can't be that bad as there is a company doing 110 double cab conversions to tippers altough if you get a transit with a 6x10 bed you can get 6 bulk bags of very dry wood on although if a tipper you can only get 5 on for weight reasons
  21. there talking about impact drivers if you thinking of what mechanics use thats an impact wrench impact drivers take a 1/4 inch hex screwdriver bit impact wrenches take a socket if your happy with your ryobi kit why not get ryobi also check your batteries for the mah reading if it is <2 as what usually come in the kits you can buy upto 3 mah ryobi batteries we use 2.6 mah ryobi drills sometimes and they will loads of 6 inch timberloks depending on what wood it into
  22. the leafsprung landrover forum and yes i would think they meant the genuine ones as there was a comparison picture unless britparts variations have got worse
  23. very nice mog how did they manage to blag all the free stuff ? there wasn't even the companys mentioned on the show
  24. wheel horse where the domestic version of toro they no longer exist but there sinngle cylinder geared mowers are solid we have had 5 of them the only thing they suffer from in my experience is rotten decks and lack of maitanence to the bearing but i should think this is a problem with most mowers as our 6 ft kubota was the same we even had a v2 perol in one of them although this was so powerful it shook the distributor apart
  25. dorking surrey to far ? if not L.crow do charcoal localy you could try him on 01306 712850
