  1. Personally....... You know me Benn, im not one to knit pick....... But......... Nout wrong with that imo and that was way, way bigger than the first few seconds made it look.
  2. I use the lightweight one mark, okay in the wet for short periods, great in the cold, durable and low snag. As with most fully waterproof jackets = hot and horrid.
  3. I see your few days working with me are catching on, risk vs reward of a doughnut. I did wonder why you asked for the winch, helicopter, fire engine, my limited edition of superted annual and miley cyrus voodoo doll......
  4. I'll give you some feedback on cougar next week
  5. Hey, Quite busy at the moment but if i remember i'll stick some pics up for you. (you might have to remind me with a pm latter this weekend though)
  6. Fair play Dan, i can see nick and nigel salivating over your rig right now
  7. ergh, now im really considering buying one just to see what its like compared to all the others ive tried. (i think this is all thats left)
  8. Your right, i preferred the HH over the RW, mostly because its close by. I am thinking of buying a HH to go with my RW, Uni, RW/LJ....... Oh get adam bourne off her to make you a 10" tether for it. Worth every penny.
  9. Ben, i like that a lot. Now i know how you swooned those ladies in indo, climbing this line was clearly saying, your a caring guy in touch with your metro sexual side. (you can beat me to a pulp when we go do that top secret ninja climb)
  10. Its the treeworker friction tube (nod off here sells them). Quite a bit larger than the stein ones, really impressed with it and worth my investment in it. the top fairlead, and the side tie off points are really handy. Bigger drum makes lowering those small bits easier and doesnt kink the rope on the larger bits that require more wraps. Clearly well thought out and the finish is first class.
  11. I agree, with jack, dan and mat. They were so excited to have a go on the swings etc. Not once did i feel any kit was at risk, in fact it was really cool to see so many people engaged in the community, something the uk has sadly lost from my experiences.
  12. I thought 11mm hedera felt more like velocity personally. Cougar Blue all the way for me
  13. So Jacks been with me all week. Heres a facebook album ive done as there is a lot of pics. hope you enjoy. https://www.facebook.com/ian.flatters.1/media_set?set=a.10151720652552634.1073741837.597402633&type=3&uploaded=87
  14. Looks like Steatoda bipunctata (sometimes known as the “rabbit hutch spider”) Steatoda nobilis is the one with the most venom. Apparently the uks most venomousness spider.
  15. All part of the plan. Fell it onto the hedge to turn the limb that was going to kick it towards the shed, as it rolls the limb will pass further round and the theory was turn the tree midair so it landed on a flatter, less major limbs side. Although i did take a big breathe as id planned for it to hold on the hinge longer, which it didnt.
  16. Tell me that last one goes around the round about.....
  17. Why not buy a CeUk handsaw. I was thinking oh god those samurai ones are back, 10 months in and my trojan 250 is still strong and i got a replacement blade which made it pretty much the same cost of a silky!! but with another blade so hopefully another 10-12 months without worrying about buying.
  18. Good set nathan, the willow sounds like a chore though.
  19. It saved on that job prob 40mins alone on the conifer up the garden. Tomorrow me and Jack price will be using it to fold tops off some conifers before we fell them. Now about the winch its from proclimber, i really struggled when i bpought it, thinking i was only going to use it for "one job" wrong, it prob comes out just as much as the lowering kit does!! (thats pretty much 3/5 days a week)
  20. Some homeless guy, worked for 3 cans of special brew, 2 donuts and a kitkat. Honestly this guy wanted his payment, makes you look well slow.....
  21. Shes amazing, lift capacity was much higher than i thought it would be.
  22. Thats HUGE!
