  1. Hero2 is plenty good enough for treework. I personally wouldnt invest in the Hero3 even though its a great camera because if its going to youtube there is no need because of the compression that youtube does to videos. Ted, Cheers, fingers crossed i can get above 4th in the world this time but i think too many pies might be sending me further down the placings.
  2. Interesting video david. Its nice to see management over removal, do you have any info on the type of lichen? just curios to read up on it.
  3. yeah, mostly Benn Thanks everyone for the kind comments, I'm glad you enjoyed it.
  4.

  5. Last night i couldnt sleep so i decided to make a video of footage from my entire database. Obviously there was a lot i didnt add and a few bits you've probably seen before. I hope you enjoy it. 6. Benns, timber section for me as it captures the movement of the timber with the sawdust displacement. then no4 i dont know why but i feel the whole picture is set out nicely and finally drews because it has a chopper in it.
  7. It was bought for a stag party but its so nice i had to keep it.
  8. Plus it was too hot to wear this
  9. Smart Casual clearly
  10. haha nothing come quite as close as full chaff mode.
  11. Ben, When we meet up in the new year you can have a blast.
  12. Keep it separate mark, if you have a fall the last thing you want is a toothed ascender shredding your rope. I have 2 hand ascenders one just the hand and a crab for clipping it back on and another if i want to frog walk up so crab, and footloop.
  13. Come on ben, your being modest!! I though your skills were pretty good.
  14. Good point But as a system its the one i recommend for beginners. Cheap and familiar.
  15. Start with the Rope Wrench for the main reasons its the cheapest and the only one with a current CE mark. If you have a pulley and a bit of cord your nearly there, a foot ascender and stiff tether as per manufacturers spec. tie a short slig and crab into a chest loop for added ease of climb and have fun.
  16. I've got quite a good technique the first is the "Bourne" this mainly involves the use of the hitch hiker climber remote control arborist and the "Curtis" this model is a bit newer than the Bourne and mainly involves the the use of the Unicender climber remote control arborist. The manual said you can remote control these from within a van or 4x4 but ive not had the chance to use this feature yet. I will review it once the situation occurs. If either of these fail i have to dust off old faithful the "Flatters" or "El Diablo" in Spain. Not as fast as the newer models and takes slightly longer to warm up. The only downside is it only knows go big, go hard, go home which is a minus on day rate sites. Failing that i get Dan's Professional Arboricultural Tree Line Mapping Service or Dan's Paint for short to text me a drawing and continue with the knowledge that painting pictures will always inspire great things.
  17. I charged £840.00 last year to clear a birch that had fallen across a driveway last boxing day. 2 guys, chipper and on site for 5hrs and away from home for 7hrs. Charging from when the phone goes down of course.
  18. haha adam, look at one of mine! Whose that fellow up the cedar?, never shared these one but some from the job.
  19. One for Darwin's theory.
  20. A few from recent times. Just trying to be a bit arty.
  21. After realizing who these guys are i can probably say that its the price of the tender on the tree that might have got them thinking about felling it in a oner, and imo id do the same but maybe shut the road quickly first though.
  22. Because the stunt fell thread is quite addictive. Everyones getting in on it. We used to do that all the time, 2 crews on the council contract, it makes up for all the lost costs on turning up to find your cones have been moved, someone doesnt want the dying tree gone or just idiots who have cut a tree down once.
  23. About 3.5 i think when we measured ours up and allowed for the angle of slope off the back. I wouldnt recommend it though the odd occasions ive done it the tires look like they would go pop if you threw a mint on top.
  24. They've moved 2000 people out of yarmouth. Personally i dont see why they would bother, just let it all be taken back by the sea.
  25. yeah for a felling job, but that said the times i have used it as a dragline have saved hours of work.
