  4. Thats where i am and thought id ask people with much better understanding than me. But apparently its all about working within the scale of it???? Bonsai small, tree larger. Thats why i asked as i ain't got a clue as to its pros and cons.
  5. I was just chatting to a freind out in italy and he was saying that out there they use bonsai root pruning techniques on large trees to stimulate root growth from pruning. The stuff they put on is called superthrive?? i think. I was wondering what your opinions are on this. As i don't do much root pruning prob once in three years. Oh it involves using a thin bandage over the root and coated with the superthrive stuff. Like this;
  6. A freind of mine (Malcolm Chaffer) was telling me about this tree he did in 2006 and sent me through these photos. In 2006 Isola Madre was struck by a cyclone and this 50 tonne Kashmiriana tree blew over. The decision was made to save the tree by re-lifting it and carrying out remedial works and installation of support lines. The final picture is of it in march 2010. He informed me the final Cost was around £300,000 GBP.

  16. Mark Sprint training is one of the fastest way to burn off excess fat. All you need to do is find a long field and sprint for 30 seconds, rest for 30 seconds then sprint for 30 seconds, etc, etc. You probably only need to do 4 sprints on 3-4 days a week. I know i doesn't sound like a lot but you'll shift weight fast, i did it when i used to compete in hapkido. Also holding the plank positions are very good for the mid rift too. P.s Search body weight exercises, there on facebook and they are killers!! but work well and you don't need anything like weights etc.
  17. Have you looked through Arbjobs yet? Arbjobs.com | find Arb jobs / Tree work might be something there for you? thanks for reading!
