  1. Really! How long did you have for lunch:lol:
  2. Do it!
  3. One from today Tree of heaven which had died. Did large coro's in the hope that the rate it will decay will give it a more natural look.
  4. This camera is a pile of..... 62 degrees isn't going to show you much of anything. 130< is better. Save money and buy one from one of the banner links here if there's one showing at the top of the page. Or action cameras there's a link Steve had put up with his review.
  5. Toadys clear up. I think Ganoderma and Sesia apliformis (i think they are the grub emergence holes in the last picture which was part of the base) played a part. Oh and high winds.
  6. Exactly. Got to level those potholes out somehow, someone could damage there car if they were left like what we saw when we arrived.....
  7. i'll see if i can get andy to e-mail me a photo of his.
  8. Paitenting?
  9. Cheers for the info hope to see a picture when you find one. I reckon by the amount of tree, fungi photos you must have a few terrabites worth.
  10. Looks a bit like a Campbell knot i saw about 7 years ago? Could be wrong and you could of made a new knot.
  11. Never done them or seen any close up pics of them? Would use them if i knew how to as i can't see it taking much longer whilst doing some coro's.
  12. A couple i did today, still yet to finish the rest of the tree.
  13. Tbh my best return has been from flyers through the doors not cheap ones but good quality types. Then local glossy mags in my local area are a close second. Word of mouth is good but will only get you so much work in.
  14. Check out the coronet cut thread in tree health bit. Kind of a way of greating artificial habitat for bugs etc, should increase wildlife intrest rather than felling the whole thing and losing all the habitat.
  15. Not very oftern tbh never feel 100% safe when doing that, they do look much better but there is a phone line/ broadband line underneath the tree so this was the safest option.
  16. You can borrow my drift x170 to try before you buy if you like dan.
  17. Didn't get it finished today due to the high winds that kicked up mid morning. The crown was in quite a bad way as the top sections were so brittle but the lower crown still has life so instead of just felling it i agreed with the client to 'hammer it' Fingers crossed it will kick out a new lower crown but if it dies atleast its still got ivy and coro's for a bit of habitat.
  18. Shame the wind got too great and we had to ground the platform.
  19. Glad that 1st pictures there as you don't appreciate the size of the stem because the other trees are big too. Nice pics.
  20. They've been trying to do that for years.
  21. If you bid or buy it does this mean he give you that £1 back when he turns up? But by the looks of it he delivers his finish product between 5-7 working days so must use a handsaw.
  22. When i was at college the course had 28 people i only know of 5 of us that are still in arb 1 is a Tree officer, 1 is employed and 3 of us now run small arb firms. The rest i've never seen in or around norfolk so who knows what they are doing now. Also today 2 kids spoke to me when i was working with james and said they were doing arb because they here it pays good wedge......and look well cool like ax men.
  23. Have you tried Andy Campbell - Campbell and son forestry?
  24. Thought id seen it.
  25. I'll let james answer the work positioning. Just the Stubs were cut up and a little bit of the stem where the top was knocked out. Most were quite short in depth except the one in the main stem which went down about a foot.
