  1. Never use this, just print off the application. Fill it in draw a diagram of the site with clear access and labeled the main road in it. Then pop it in the post for the local council. Its that easy!
  2. Good old chuck and duck chipper! Wonder what size engine thats got on it.

  4. Reading into the doc i might just stick the crolls elastic back upto the ascender to keep it upright.
  5. Im sure when i was out with James (testcricket01) he said hes got this system made up.
  6. Thanks Monkey, glad that i can see an image rather than what was being explained to me. I think the image i had in my head was just a single plunge under a limb going upwards. Good now i can see what i can do to add to my coro's. Thanks for posting this Ian
  7. Ah i get it now, i was thinking eh? why do you need that if its already attached to the ascender and harness.
  8. Spider at rouses has a billion different length lyon webbing slings. Or honeys has an proper one for £20
  9. Yeah thats what was kind of going on im my mind about the setup. I just kept thinking back to the back up on drt footlocking with the dual ascender and kind of confused myself a wee bit:001_rolleyes: A picture would be fantastic. Although im still a bit confused about the chin thingy?
  10. Yes to the srt line itself. My thought was do i need to back up the hand ascender if i use the croll which in my head is the back up:confused1:
  11. This question is going to sound a bit dumb..... Right, so the croll is located below the hand ascender but is linked to the hand ascender by a bit of cord at a set length or something elastic to pull it back up when you take pressure off the croll and onto the pantin?
  12. Very nice! I guess if you did a Robbie too many people would be punching him in the head....
  13. Ok, So having had a bit of a go at srt last week i was wondering is there a; 1) Reccomended amount of connections? 2) If using kong ascenders should i back it up with a prussick wrap through the handle over the ropes like i do in drt footlocking? 3) Is Just using a kong dual ascender + pantin foot ascender fine or should i really add a croll between the two linked to the dual ascender for safety? p.s i know the questions are pretty much the same just wanted to get your opinions as these are bits of kit a already have and use. I know that a number of you will be going 'duh its obvious' But i can't seem to find the answer via search. Lots of threads on srt setups just none of thes questions were covered. Cheers for taking the time to answer the questions for a novice at srt.
  14. Me too:laugh1:
  15. Nice find:thumbup1:
  16. I don't know what the score is with your area but in Norfolk Network Power Solutions will turn the lines off for free. It saves them having to pay people to cut the trees back. Can take up to 4 weeks but at least you shouldn't get frazzled.
  17. Another pic i found of james going up via srt.
  18. Agreed. Plus cut those chogs a bit smaller than normal because tis heavy wood.
  19. Isn't the date moves to do with how easter falls this year? Oh well Game fair again:thumbup:. On the plus side it keeps those orrible lot from Capel away:001_tt2:.
  20. I must say SRT is very efficent but jeez i was gasping for air by the time i got up there. Heres the video [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5dUWcg3hI4k]YouTube - ‪GoPro 2011: Redwood Climb‬‏[/ame]
  21. Trust are good PL and EL should cover you if your employing your mate and hes not insured. Just one thing is mention it to your boss being self employed on weekends as i've seen these situations go sour through the boss thinking that they were stealing work off him. In fact two companies in north norfolk.
