I would be happy to deliver, can deliver approx. 4 cu m at a time in my truck Any offers? Im thinking £25 a cu m and £100 for full truck Thanks 01280 735005 Ben @ Bigtrees:001_smile:
  4. As long as willows and laylandii do not disapper overnight we'l all have jobs for life!! simples!
  5. £150 for one to six standard stumps Gotta charge that everybody hates stumpgrinding
  6. Thanks for the advice on the clogs flatters will bear in mind regarding the heavy reduction I think its best to take out and re plant especially as location is a maniquered garden. Im all for leaving trees standing even if they have all sorts of fungi issues and look rotten but I think this ones gotta go. I'l get some pics of the job up on here in a month or two thanks for your help on this one
  7. Hi This is my first proper post on here so be gentle on me I was asked to look at a mature holm oak (45ft height, 1.5m diameter trunk). I found one fruiting fungi body at the bottom of the trunk near the buttresses. I am 100% its ganoderma. The tree has lots off decay in the crown and in the trunk and is covered in black golf ball like fungi, mainly on the main trunk up to 2m. The tree is in a shaded area. The foliage looks very healthy but there is lotts of deadwood. The customer would like the tree removed if its goin to start dropping limbs as he parks his car under it. The limbs coming off the decayed main trunk are long and heavy and almost touching the ground. Q 1 - If I fell the tree what do I do with my woodchip? Will it have any ganoderma within it? Q 2 - Could I heavily reduce the tree to help the tree live alittle longer? Sorry for no pics. Thanks for your time. Ben @ Bigtrees
  8. Iv got a TT85 electro tip with cage sides (leaf sprung). I have done exactly the same made up a ply wood chip box that is removable. Only prob is you cant tow the chipper as well as the trailer. The tip is really strong and will easily lift 2 ton of soil, gravel etc no problems. Done bugger all maintenace to it and it is like new. I have found it a very solid trailer. Another thing is its quite heavy unloaded because of the extra steel work. Id save the money and buy a 130 defender tipper personaly but great trailer buy one!
  9. I supplied a few big trees to Ellen Mcarther the sailor. Shes pretty strong and handy she even turned up with her own knackered trailer full of crap!bonus!

  12. Another comment NFU are rubbish on arb insurance.. I have every other bit of insurance with them e.g. landy, tractor but their PL for felling work was over priced and they imposed a reidiculous height restricton of the trees I could fell!!! Trust Insurance are the best. If your with the NFU i bet Trust could beat their price by atleast half if not more. Good luck with your felling. I wish I did as much as you do!
