  1. The Drift HD has time laspe modes too. They are both very similar but the main reason i went for the gopro is that its fully waterproof and the mountings are stronger as i lost the drift a couple of times and ended up tying a teather too the hat. Either ones a winner really.
  2. Isn't that Jo brands house?
  3. Controlled lift beats rope lowering:thumbup: Very nice pictures
  4. Edit: It also has a 3 shot burst mode and single shot portrait. As well as being a HD video camera.
  5. Good job, less cuts = save fuel:lol:
  6. Yeah its got pre set selections, i can do 2,10,15,30,60 second shots goes until the battery runs out which in time lapse is about 4hrs or until you fill up your sd card. Its got so many ways to change settings like lense width that i always carry the instruction manual just in case. Best Head camera i've every used.
  7. Had a nice drop and leave job this morning, left the stem as a monolith as all the bark on the main stem was loose so left it as habitat for bats and beasties. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nHB7IvG-s2k]YouTube - GoPro 2011: Time Lapse Tree Removal[/ame]
  8. Imo after seeing a logsol i think they have the edge on my alaskan but also my alaskan was a fraction of the price. So the only answer is cost of what your willing to spend.
  9. Or 'One handed saw use is it really armless'
  10. Sent, ill send directions closer to the time or might just get you and jimmy to meet at my yard or something then all go in my truck. Only took 7 times to get hold, leave messages for confirmation on a start date. Think im going to get him to sign a price agreement before any of us do anything.

  11. hope you got my e-mail but if not the 2nd of march is a def go now.

P.s Has the little one arrived yet?

  12. Go bigger than usual. If you think your anchors not safe move it down to a bigger part. Nout wrong with asking like i've said before don't ask never learn.
  13. How about 'If Def leopard can have a one handed drummer why can't we use a saw one handed'
  14. Ahhhh i so want to but really want to see one in action like. Im sure knowing me i'll have one by the summer:thumbup1:
  15. Frank is there much flex on the logjack when you lifted the large log? I like the concept but can't convince myself to buy one unless it can lift large logs frequently.
  16. I think Mark Cocks if you know him has a chipper hes right near diss. Ben Burgess Norwich MDH - Aylsham but may deliver.
  17. The Staines massive are a real problem up my way. Although his Julie is well fit init:001_rolleyes:
  18. heres a few from me then:blushing:
  19. Look forward to what you think of it:thumbup1: I was a bit optimistic that anyone would buy one because of the price. Really like the design and less rope abrasive edges. Christmas list i think.
  20. Nice shots:lol: and its a 395xp with a 22 inch bar id say.
  21. Just interested to know if anyone has and if they rate them or hate them and if there is any difference compaired to using a normal isc block.
  22. Links down the right hand side one of which is tip master they make the backs. Other than that there might be something in the classified or in trading places sub forum bit.
  23. Ok, Im trying to get my head round this so i've draw a picture. Am i right in my understanding? Red = Rigging block supporting line tied off against stem, not tied/larks footed to lowering point. Blue = Working rigging line. And the other thing is my poor attempt at a tree:lol:
  24. A Ruler?? Thought id scan an image for Ry2 as this thread seemed to be going round in circles.
  25. Heres the map for a tpo'd Oak im about to dump in the post. Pretty much how most mine look except i normally put the works list on the bottom of page 2 as the box is too small to draw a plan.
