  1. Cheers John:thumbup1: I did have me confused for a while:blushing:
  2. I like the first answer.
  3. I've been using Armor Prus recently till moving to a Spiderjack. Expensive but really rate it.
  4. Agreed:thumbup1:
  5. Thats what i was thinking but you can pre tension with a hobbs anyway like the grcs:001_huh:
  6. Nice work Frank, Bloomin big Ash. Did you have an ecological survey done or just as you went?
  7. John nice to see you felled that tree to rescue a trapped dog:001_rolleyes: You couldn't enlighten me on the use for the high pulley block above the hobbs?
  8. Right so your slamming me for Raising a tree, then you comeback with how i should proper prune a tree by showing me a reduction not a raise. The wound you left was probably the size of all the little cuts i did added together so Mr Daniel Murphy you do realize i was carrying out raising operations not branch reductions:confused1:
  9. What i would like to say is; A) Roadside raise was to 5.25m which is a common highway spec B) Parking side the lowest tips were only 3.25m as specified by the client C) 7+ meters right:confused1: D) Butchering the tree! D.1) Butchers are highly skilled people D.2) I find your comment highly disrespectful E) It is important to allow passing police and securtiy companies to have clear sight across areas without risking walking into a situation. F) Stripped the tree? No no ring barking going on here fella. G) the tree was probably only 12-13m high in total. Have a great week:thumbup1:
  10. Very cool!
  11. Lifting over a carpark, pavement and road (parking lot, sidewalk, highway) are kind of important things to do. Would really not like to get taken to court over something like that. Altohough we never put trees on elevators as thats just silly:lol:.
  12. Is the latin for that 'cutteous woodis - Germanica' How many spark plug eggs were there?
  13. Its on its way to you in the post as we speak. Only a 4 1/2 hour drive this one.
  14. So the tank was filled back up last night i cant give you the exact mileage as i managed to rested the odometer by putting my wallet onto it and then only realized when id done another 100 odd miles. So id say ive saved in the reigon of £12-15 of fuel over a 6 day work period. I don't drive fast and have always driven as economically as i can due to the cost of fuel. So a saving! so if thats an adverage of £10 a week saving and i drive for 48 weeks of the year i could save £480 which has already paid for the re-mapping.
  15. Any really windows movie maker or video pad are fine. All you need to do is reduce the frame length to around 0.5-0.64 of a second and the time lapse will work fine.
  16. Lockjack sport only has a cam as a break so it can be quite an abrupt stop. The spider jack you can open the cam right up and use the wooden brake as a smoother well a brake:001_tongue: I'll add a picture up of them both tomorrow
  17. The whole competition seemed to be 'Rigged' look at the photos. Awesome winning photos guys.
  18. Yorkshire or this now, argh!
  19. Or taking notes:thumbup1:
  20. The GoPro Hero HD. You can set the lapse mode to 1,2,5,10,30,60 second shot modes as well as video capture and the shots are amazing at 1080p. GoPro Official Store: Wearable Digital Cameras for Sports
  21. Hi Joe, Thanks for the little insight into using the wood break, had a go with that for an hour today and after initally looking like i was on a bungee jump got it a little bit smoother, tried a couple of swinging decents one went ok the other missed.
  22. Very arty pic the second one john:thumbup1:
  23. So recently i've been playing around with time lapse photography on site and a large number of hours editing them to make a 1 minute or so clip. Thought id make a thread for them and anyone else whos had a play with time lapse. 24. Its all about marketing. See it this way a 350 transit comes in 3 model types 90, 115 and 125 the only difference between these are the programing, they want to be able to charge more for a 115 than a 90.
  25. I went through a middle man so i got mine swapped so i could still use it and then the returned one was swapped back in.
