  10. Ive been on this site for a year or so and cant remember anyone quoting the ad when ordering logs. didnt cost anything to advertise though.
  11. You can sell logs by weight, just as long as it is the correct weight, i.e your advertised 1 ton of logs is in fact 1 ton.

  19. I get a few customers sayng "i,ll give you £70 cash" for my £75 a load of logs . My reply is "what does the girl on the till at the supermarket you shop at say when you try and knock her down?" I,m sure they think your just doing logs for a bit of beer money

I think your going to have a problem with help on this one as the only people that can help you sourcing cord etc are people from your area,not sure to many guys will want another log seller knowing their contacts. There is a member called nick channer on here that might be able to help on the cord front . Hope it helps.

  23. Thanks for that, didnt realise you could reduce the moisture content that quick.
  24. i,m confused when it comes to kiln drying, my question is always "why?". If you can get timber down to say 10% moisture,but store the logs in your log store wont the logs absorb the moisture in the air and you end up with logs no dryer than if they had been air dried, i realise there must be a reason why you kiln dry them, but i cant figure out why.
