  1. yes mate sequia for the top,and two legs, then two ash legs to match the white sap of sequia,,and a bit of yew underneath,,stool is elm with ash legs,,

  5. built this little table and chair set yesterday for my grandaughter yesterday(yipes Im only 42)made up of some sequia and yew,,with couple of ash legs to balance the colour,,,,
  6. we sell vented cubic meter bags, for £80 a bag, some people are over the moon with the logs,and say wow you get a lot,,and some go "is that all",,theres no pleasing some people,,,but we sell out,,,I bag up all our crap conifer,popular willow etc,,and sell it from the yard for £50 a bag in builders sacks,,,0.6,,,,,we have a regular supply of people who come hunting for bargins,,,we also sell sawmill off cuts in builders sacks,,as they dont cost £7 each,,,recycled from builder mates,,,

  8. too much hard work on pole lathe,,mate,,have turned it on power lathe,,i`d stick with ash and straight grained stuff on pole-lathe,,
  9. got some western red cedar mate,,and its in reading,,,
  10. got the same problem coming up on a local ancient momument,,(stroke mound in wood) can only see it being a headache and bad press! but if I dont do it someone will,,,

  18. watcha red.welcome,,,you sound like my old boss from wales,,I started in 1984 working in the clocanog forrest, doing wind blown stuff, three of us in back of old sherpa,(hoping we`d get to job) jump starting old counties,,,,now were all geared up,,cs this and that,,but its experience and common sense that has got me this far,,this is a great furum,,with loads of floating knowledge,,,soak it up,,,,

    I agree I subbie two climbers and there both earning that! and worth every penny!
