  3. Fencing product! make some real monney at it if you dont no how to make fencing supplies get someone in to teach its not as easy as it looks. Make sure your lengths are bang on what you want them to be other wise youll loose out BIG time belive me. We use off cuts for kindling and its great stuff have also used it for charcoal but theres no monney in it for anything other than fencing products. Oh and its also used for chip wood for biomass:thumbdown:
  4. what a mess! hope everyone whos affected sorts themselves out!
  5. I just asked my father whos an accountant and he says there is no limit as long as when you put it in you value it correctly. Hope this makes sense as it doesnt particually to me:001_smile:
  6. coppicing means regrowth therefor not just clobbering trees your clobbering and regrowing some for the next generation. The number of woodlands ive seen that have been un-managed and need a thin compared to those that have been managed and thined IMO makes me think there is plenty of wood to go round, there plenty of timber to go round.
  7. What!? corse it would take work away from people. People in this country get paid to cut the timber for firewood that people buy in bulk then it gives the buyer and his employes work to split it. Why mess it up? This country allready buys to much wood from abroad for other materials for building etc. theres plenty of wood to go round as stated above I just fail to see why and how this is going to benefit anyone except Jayvee?
  8. will proberly get one jsut for the adjustment. ive had mine for about a year now and still not got it right and the adjuster on its pointless.
  9. nicely done! your saw seemed to be blunt it was cutting in slow motion some of the time:sneaky2:

  16. sorry to hear about your news can only echo the kind comments made so far hope your ok
  17. I got shown an old pair of trousers put onto a log and an a 260 based saw ran at full revs into them. the cut on the log was less than an inch deep but still a cut. Just work safe and you should never need to have to rely on the protection on your legs.
  18. youve just hit the nail on the head with the quote in bold. I see no good can come to this if a trend is that way why follow it? why would you go to all the extra hassle and im sure cost of importing firewood from another country when there is plenty to go round in this country? Are you a bussiness in finland looking for more of a larger market? If I have missed the point or am sounding to harsh please correct me and explain why it would be a good idea?
  19. http://arbtalk.co.uk/forum/employment/20791-employment-opportunity-suffolk.html this could be of some interest
  20. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QB2_CJKOfmo]YouTube - Jaguar Skills DUBSTEP Twitter Mix - BBC Radio 1[/ame] any one who likes a bit of mixes and dubstep ive finally got into it this is amazing
  21. I think work is the best way to learn in this industry IMO college can only teach you so much. Apprenterships are the way forward I think you get the best of both worlds there not easy to come by but do some ringing around local firms asking for experience for free at first to prove yourself if they like you they should offer you an apprenterhsip. best of luck
  22. You would be a better groundsman to anyone with cs38 in my opinion you then know how to rescue them. what they teach you on that course is what youll learn in one day as a groundie and you get paid for it instead of paying for it. medium trees cs32 could also be a good course. all the best
  23. Yeah see what your saying:blushing: thanks for the advice:thumbup1:
