  1. the flesh on the berries is not poisonous, just suck the flesh off and spit out the seed, they're delicious. the foliage is deadly though. very sad that someone would take their life this way
  2. looks like classic monkey damage to me:biggrin:
  3. nearly choked on my pizza haha:lol:
  4. keep away from arbtalk during the day and get working:biggrin: or just hire in more people/kit etc
  5. main knot i climb on, never slips, gets tight if shocked/overdressed, eats cheapo builders gloves for fun. i always use a 1.5m length with whatever stopper knot in the tail.
  6. i saw a right pair of chessies walking towards me up the pavement the other day, i had to sidestep to avoid getting shoulderbarged!
  7. as the lunchtime convoy of young mechanics (including me in my mini) set off towards the cafe up the road from mechanics college, i was leading when i spotted a red traffic light at a crossroads i was nearly up to, slamming on the anchors i stopped level with the line, my mate in the done up cavalier behind almost hit me then my mate in another mini hit the back of the cavalier quite hard, i wasn't there for the cavalier to roll forwards into as i had realised i'd braked for a harmless filter lane red and set off again through my still green light. they were both a little bit annoyed when i returned after lunch
  8. done two recently, both were felled, thank fork for that! can get four monkey arms on one fork. still get spiked on your legs and arms no matter how careful you are:biggrin:
  9. :001_smile:bit rubbery even when cooked, great fun to throw at each other though
  10. boiler broke last week:cursing: so yes the fire is lit, nearly used the last of the seasoned wood in the yard now (maybe 1cubic metre left), then its time to get next years wood split and seasoning nicely for winter.
  11. we have this avant tracked dumper, its brilliant for extracting big rings and tipping them into the trailer, moving trailers around (even loaded right up), general yard work and is pretty economical now its got a diesel engine instead of petrol. today we had 600 block paving bricks on it and it didn't seem to notice [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_-i2TsO4C8Y]YouTube - Dumpy[/ame] edit. i think avant stopped making tracked machines in favour of wheeled ones
  12. collection after payment has cleared? sounds like a scam to me, if i was a bit more bored i would ring them and play games.
  13. everytime i see a waster walking down the road drinking skol i think 'i paid for that', the scrubbers in line outside the post office waiting to be handed the money i earned before they go in the pub/bookies and waste it. i don't get mad though, just biding my time till one of them jaywalks in my lane
  14. i watched it and wanted all the kit and the glamour, i wanted to zipline to work, most of all it'd be nice to get to work and the rain stops and the sun comes out, might even get a lunge in posing on top of a mountain. advertising seems to work:thumbup:
  15. ryobi are designed to put homeowners off working in their gardens
  16. i'm no expert but that looks like its been dead a while:biggrin:
  17. thankyou, i'm off to order some now
  18. is that an anti mould spray? whats in it? tell me to sod off if its a secret recipe:thumbup: looks like you had a good productive run, some nice bits there:thumbup1:
  19. i like the idea of it helping in certain situations, but i'm sure it will take the place of education for many, what i mean is people will rely on that giving them the answers to everything instead of knowing from experience, take it away from them and they will be lost
  20. check out the new stihl website STIHL make sure you watch the 70sec video:thumbup1:
  21. sorry rob, that was last weeks chipbox, heres the current one:001_smile:, do try to keep up. i think there's a lad just built himself a mobile chicken shed for a navara on the arbtrucks thread:001_tt2:
  22. you're eyes will light up like them hobbits in the prancing pony pub, 'it comes in pints!'
  23. Bandit In Action Fog Bandit – the fastest, highest density security fogging system available, essential for ultimate protection against intruders and burlgary might be a deterrent for someones workshop/equipment lockup
  24. or just make a 'woodchip fish supper', tightly wrap some dryish chip in newspaper and pop it in the fire.
