  1. it gets used mostly by nesting birds during spring/summer, occasionally the birds let us use it for shifting machinery and timber, its surprising where they will put a nest, last year there was one on top of the rad so we have to check carefully for them. i'd say anything with a working crane is worth it, and pretty cool too:thumbup:
  2. its all down to the mechanicals, if the bits you need all work then its a good one. the old fordson major here is 60+ yrs and drags logs out of the swamp all day long. its not broke till it doesn't go anymore:thumbup:
  3. havn't been there for years, looks tiny now haha. brings back memories
  4. my bro talked to a guy who sold them at apf 2x ago, when my bro pointed out what they looked like after 2mths normal use he said- 'it looks like you have been abusing them, i dont think you appreciate the technology that has gone into producing them'. funny how we don't appreciate them when we spend so much on them, jumped up little shoe man needs to get back in his workshop and make them properly! we demand the best, pay for the best.. and don't recieve the best! rant over:001_smile:
  5. same digger, baby driving.. no dramas:thumbup:
  6. managed to squeeze a reply from haix lastyear about this, they said i should find a competent cobbler who will use antistatic glue, replacement soles are available:001_smile:
  7. i havn't been on the A30 in ten years , never mind this week haha:thumbup:
  8. yeah, look at a toyota, see how weedy they are, and see the price of spares then decide a landy would make much more sense:thumbup:
  9. PISTON ASSEMBLY COMPATIBLE WITH STIHL 084 088 MS880 | eBay UK
  10. i was looking for a quad to skid logs out of my little wood when i got offered this, for the work i have found for it, it suits me better than a quad, carries and tips everything thats been put on it, slower than a quad but can shunt heavy trailers all day long with pinpoint precision.(even reversing two trailers at once), low ground pressure is a plus but it does belly out occasionally.
  11. yesterday i snapped a bleed screw after changing fuel filters on my tw190:blushing:, (it felt a bit duff last time i tightened it) i called Alan at UNI-POWER on 01371 875331, he emailed me a parts diagram to ensure the correct bits were ordered, had them all in stock, also ordered a set of genuine kubota filters and they were on my doorstep in less than 24hrs! they don't just sell kubota parts but many more too. Universal Engine Power Ltd (Uni-Power) Honda,Briggs,Kubota,Lombardini,Kohler...

  18. i think rob liked the tree and the tree liked rob:001_wub:
  19. we spent most of the morning eating cake, drinking tea and trying to work out who's truck is the tallest, then removed the fences and waited for the ladies to put all the horses in a different field. every time i looked at the tree the weight seemed to be in a different part of the crown, not an easy one to weigh up for a fell, when test-pulling the tug line, the tree wanted to spin round due to the extensive cavity.
  20. wow, how fast were you going when you hit the rambler?
