  9. 'put us a strapon' or 'i need a big strapon', when needing another webbing strap sending up, very easily misunderstood by nonarbs:thumbup:
  10. give it time, a customer i re-pollarded a pop for late lastyear rang lastweek wondering why it looked dead, i told her to give it chance as unlike the old growth which has its buds on display all winter just waiting, the pollard will have to pop out new shoots so is naturally going to 'green up' later than a tree left alone.
  11. i really wouldn't like cutting 36'' timber with a 460, unless i was sat down:thumbup:

  16. ok checked mine and got 30psi first time, then noticed the decompression valve had been depressed:blushing: (not by me, i don't use the 'press here if you are gay' button), then got 90psi before finding the precision instrument was leaking, can't get readings over 100psi (even on a new saw) so pressure gauge must be duff:banghead:, better try a different gauge eh?
  17. man classifies everything into neat boxes, man gets it wrong sometimes (quite often actually)
  18. in that case i'd better check the compression and the plating. thanks man, i might be able to lay my hands on a compression testing device tomorrow:thumbup1:
  19. ok guys, the saw gets what the saw needs, i'd be happy with the stock items fitting either, is it worth getting done soon or waiting for the problem to show itself with poor running? it runs sweet at the mo. Ed
  20. weld them up with a conrod, mount on a turned lump of wood and ebay them as piston cups. maybe even get an engraver to personalise them for customers?
  21. i have a 460 too and it looks a bit like that, a bore out and bigger piston sounds cool, be very interested in a price for it including fitting. Ed
  22. do this to it, i'd recommend using the front wheel and going lock to lock on top of it.. and show us all a video when you have done it:thumbup: [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yA7zfvcaG0]YouTube - Get a Stihl Lee[/ame]
  23. i thought thats what everyone does? can't remember a twinstem tree that hasn't had a rock or two included in the union, trees are a brilliant place to hide big nails too, just whack them in and nobody knows.. i think it was quite common practice years ago to fill cavaties in with pretty much anything to hand
  24. samsung b2100, waterproof to 1metre too:thumbup:
