  1. This should help ya Mozza http://www.landyzone.co.uk/lz/f12/insa-turbo-traction-track-offroad-road-182661.html
  2. Gritting mishap today. Dad hit the edge of a concrete ramp on a weigh bridge. Lovely dent in the rim. Bent the 5" square section behind the wheel up and back slightly too. Not good!
  3. Yes it does. Got hit in the sternum with a little piece the other day. That bleedin' 'urt! Been hit on the fly of my chainsaw pants too. Glad I had them on. I'd have been on the floor if I was in combats!
  4. I had a similar issue. Made the pads on my feet go hard and after long days it would leave them a bit sore. Not unbearable but it felt nice to sit down. Zermatts cured this problem. Well worth the cash.
  5. Which is better though?
  6. Stick it on eBay. I sold our '97 one of those for £210!
  7. Mediums? Pah. My smalls are massive on me!
  8. If only they weren't made so hard wearing I'd get a new pair in the next year or so! They look smart
  9. they are after german or english speaking distributors how come i see so many irish blokes selling them then?
  10. Got an older sister by 13 months. Neither of us have contributed to the population yet.
  11. This 110 is purely a work truck. Regularly carrying weight and towing big ifor trailers. It's currently set up as a gritter so has done plenty work this winter.
  12. Look at cooper discoverer stt aswell. Nice middle ground from insa turbos to bfgs. I'm on insa dakars on my disco. Same tread as bfg. Good set of tyres but won't last anywhere near as long. Dads 110 has put 35k on a set of bfgs and isn't halfway yet.
  13. Was that a reduction or a pollard?
  14. I would avoid second hand kit. And avoid rock climbing gear. It's not fit for purpose and can't make life easy. I know people have used it in the past and got on with it but that's my 2pence worth.
  15. Spent a few days on it. The odd bit flies around but never had much of an issue. Just man up and get on. . Chainsaw pants help too!
  16. Congrats Chris I may just have a few days coming up. Are you busy Sunday coming?
  17. Ours is on hire for a few weeks clearing shrub beds. Not chipping much timber but is running for a while. Filling off the tank in the yard is taking 10ltrs per day. I won't have the machine long enough to use it in a wider range of situations. In Arb situations your figures are right. And more realistic. This one has the kubota engine
  18. Depending on the quality they are saleable as display trees. Don't expect much though. If they are close grown and don't have much of a shape they won't be worth much more than chip or firewood.
  19. Tri blade. Have fun
  20. Nice one Pete. Can you do an 80ft dismantle with technical rigging over 27 phone lines and 7 gardens tomorrow morning please?
  21. Got a job on tomorrow. A scabby chestnut to come out. Not that big. On a bit of an awkward bit of road so could do with 2 groundies. Not busy but more pairs of eyes will make life easier for all. St. Helens area. Chainsaw tickets not essential but a bit of common sense is! Contact me on 07841128366 or through here. Cheers
  22. I installed it exactly how he did in the video, slide it off the combi spanner. Although I don't have the bit of rubber on the spring. I'm putting it down as age related and ill order a new one.
  23. Chain brake not applied over eagerly. Most of the time the chain is stopped or is about to. There is no rubber on the spring and there hasn't been since I last changed the brake band. Ill order a new spring and see if it persists. Could just be an age related issue
  24. Smells a bit like cherryade. Not as fizzy though. Got it off some Irish bloke. He sold me a stihl chainsaw for £200 too, brand new. Buy one get one free. Bargain!
  25. Doing an average amount of chipping the quadchip uses about 10ltrs of doosel a day
