  1. does it look anything like this?
  2. long enough pieces make good hitting sticks. for generally hitting stuff!
  3. To make my week that bit worse. My dad hit the back of my car in the yard with the fork lift and bent all the bumper mounting and removed some paint. That was yesterday. This morning the car wouldn't start!
  4. If I could get a few well paying jobs in I'd get the iPad. But I would get staff to sign a separate sheet or something to prove thugs read it. Although you can get staff to sign their name with their finger on the iPad. You'd just have to work out some way of linking the two.
  5. Is it anything to do with that bloke off baywatch?
  6. We have a couple. I think they were an eBay purchase a while ago. Very old and well bashed. But good for hitting stuff against'
  7. get some duct tape and an old carabiner and a mug with no handle, you can make your own !
  8. I had a bad day Saturday. Up at 5.30 to go pick our tractor up from the docks. Get almost there and the guy coming to help me had slipped on some ice whilst getting ready to leave. So he was out of action. Went back home. Wouldn't be able to use the tractor as I'd be too busy. Got back home around 6.45. Had to go get a mewp from Liverpool again at 7.30. Left at 7.45. Get that sorted then I manage to get a guy to help me on site. Did 4 hours work in the mewp and it died. No batteries left! Had to get the guy on the ground to manually pump it to get me down. Get back to the yard and it's an ice rink. Can barely walk anywhere. Ended well. Beef casserole and proper chips for tea

    step cut

personally i would have made the bore through cut come back further to overlap more on the bottom, as then you hav a proper step, that just seemed like too much effort, especially for a pole like that, a conventional cut at ground level would leave it at the same height.
  10. I've got one. I'm a magpie!
  11. Me too for a cap. Willing to pay a premium for it! Would be helpful!

  13. You got him built up then? Looks good!
  14. is that monkey d doing his fracture pruning?
  15. Rupe how much do you want for the drift?
  16. ive got a 660 on my list thats been given to the parents or an iPad! the other half has spent £300 on birthday and christmas for me this year (because im special and my birthday IS christmas!) im up to about £100 on her, got a proper list given to me! try websites like Unusual Gifts, Gadgets, Gift Ideas & Toys | IWOOT and Firebox.com - cool gifts, gadgets and gift ideas and Play.com (UK): DVDs, Music CDs, MP3s, Video Games, Books, Electronics & Gadgets - Free Delivery for pointless stuff thats really useful!
  17. i would calculate it on how much a tipper/pickup would hold, and then on average how many days they work with it full in a year, then maybe give or take 10-15% to account for half loads and days off. Then add a bit for logs, as they can be so different, i would just calculate it all as a full load i.e. 1 load = 1.5t work 200 days x 1.5t = 300t 10% either way or even as far as 20% each way thats how i would see it
  18. Go to the alps or anywhere they get 6feet of snow every year and look how well those roads are cleared. Everything runs smoothly and there are barely any hold ups. There's only hold ups when it's a bad snowstorm. We get half an inch here and it's chaos!
  19. me too ahhhhhh! my other half uses elizabeth arden 8 hour cream, comes in a little white bottle, few quid off ebay. good for when youve got really dry skin. i think im on the wrong forum....
  20. those towa activegrips are great gloves. ive got worn out and stinking pairs lying around all over the place. gone to towa powergrab thermo for the winter which are equally as good! i went to a shop called clas ohlson, a pack of 30 mini carabiners ranging from about 1 inch to 4 inch for 6 quid, so they now jingle around my bag in pretty colours, really handy for throwlining as the crabs are really small for attaching spliced eyes to throw bags on the line. i too love my stein retreiver hook. but the 3rd section is locked out on mine now, it pulled out while retrieving and now doesnt fold back up. bah!
  21. That looks like it would have been a nightmare to branchwalk! They are all vertical!
  22. Im seeing plenty of them now. Don't seem to be too scared of me though. They keep landing near me and following me! But scarpered near anyone else?!
  23. all sorts, theres a good 4000 songs there which are from my dads whole collection, so theres stuff ranging from the 60s all the way up to modern day, ive got all the classics! although ive deleted about 1000 or so or maybe more, some were duplicates, and some where songs i would never listen to!
  24. im similar, i have this much and i only listen to less than 20 a day! almost filled an 80GB ipod
  25. That's a monster. Can't tell from my phone. Oak? How much was the platform? Did you hire it?
