  1. Rupe how much do you want for the drift?
  2. ive got a 660 on my list thats been given to the parents or an iPad! the other half has spent £300 on birthday and christmas for me this year (because im special and my birthday IS christmas!) im up to about £100 on her, got a proper list given to me! try websites like Unusual Gifts, Gadgets, Gift Ideas & Toys | IWOOT and Firebox.com - cool gifts, gadgets and gift ideas and Play.com (UK): DVDs, Music CDs, MP3s, Video Games, Books, Electronics & Gadgets - Free Delivery for pointless stuff thats really useful!
  3. i would calculate it on how much a tipper/pickup would hold, and then on average how many days they work with it full in a year, then maybe give or take 10-15% to account for half loads and days off. Then add a bit for logs, as they can be so different, i would just calculate it all as a full load i.e. 1 load = 1.5t work 200 days x 1.5t = 300t 10% either way or even as far as 20% each way thats how i would see it
  4. Go to the alps or anywhere they get 6feet of snow every year and look how well those roads are cleared. Everything runs smoothly and there are barely any hold ups. There's only hold ups when it's a bad snowstorm. We get half an inch here and it's chaos!
  5. me too ahhhhhh! my other half uses elizabeth arden 8 hour cream, comes in a little white bottle, few quid off ebay. good for when youve got really dry skin. i think im on the wrong forum....
  6. those towa activegrips are great gloves. ive got worn out and stinking pairs lying around all over the place. gone to towa powergrab thermo for the winter which are equally as good! i went to a shop called clas ohlson, a pack of 30 mini carabiners ranging from about 1 inch to 4 inch for 6 quid, so they now jingle around my bag in pretty colours, really handy for throwlining as the crabs are really small for attaching spliced eyes to throw bags on the line. i too love my stein retreiver hook. but the 3rd section is locked out on mine now, it pulled out while retrieving and now doesnt fold back up. bah!
  7. That looks like it would have been a nightmare to branchwalk! They are all vertical!
  8. Im seeing plenty of them now. Don't seem to be too scared of me though. They keep landing near me and following me! But scarpered near anyone else?!
  9. all sorts, theres a good 4000 songs there which are from my dads whole collection, so theres stuff ranging from the 60s all the way up to modern day, ive got all the classics! although ive deleted about 1000 or so or maybe more, some were duplicates, and some where songs i would never listen to!
  10. im similar, i have this much and i only listen to less than 20 a day! almost filled an 80GB ipod
  11. That's a monster. Can't tell from my phone. Oak? How much was the platform? Did you hire it?
  12. he should have started bids at £100, offered postage, and he would get it for around what hes put up there. I offer postage with everything, no matter how awkard. ANYTHING can be delivered nowadays!
  13. finally i get to see my zipline do at kevs! haha some godo ones in there! @ 0:46 you broke my chair
  14. I find I get cold. Then I start work and I'm fine all day. Don't have a problem with anything starting. Only the truk which dislikes the cold a bit Trees get a bit snappy when it's cold. Better for stuffing it in a trailer.
  15. I plan to offer a snow clearing service if I can. Tractor with a front end loader. Will be great for large areas
  16. Bash them over the head first. So they don't feel the above! ^^^
  17. I'm 19. I climb because I love it. Do the job because I love it. We all get those 'where did I sign up for this' moments from time to time. I've had a few but that's partly from starting up myself too. Don't plan to stop. Looking forward to what life is going to throw at me
  18. i would buy the whole range of stihl chainsaws, a container big enough for them all, pay someone to keep them clean and sharp and then buy a big mog with a big chipper and go worldwide!
  19. id love one of these, my biggest atm is a husky 365 but it struggles on a 24" bar, its not actually my saw so id like one of my own! a 660 with a 30" bar would be great for doing site clearance, plus it would go right down to an 18 or 15! which would turn it into a monster! i love shiny stuff!
  20. i owe student loans, 2 years of £3250, with another year next year. other than that, £60 to my mum, some advertising bits, nothing else, dont have credit cards, stick with a debit card and be careful with it, ive only bought bits of kit, food and fuel since about may! income still isnt amazing though, but thats what you get for starting on your own!
  21. for anything thats in your sinuses get some saline nose wash, i had a nose op in august and got a headcold 6 weeks after that, still not recovered fully from that for some reason. I used the saline nose wash, its odd at first as you can feel it running into your sinuses and down your throat and everywhere, but i managed to be completely clear of the crap and stuff from round there in 2 days, did one nostril a day. worked wonders! get it for about £6 from boots, but it lasts ages. its good to use when youve done a day in a dusty place and your full of dust, cleans you right out and its the same salt concentration as your body so it doesnt sting at all, its just a bit cold!
  22. I bought a little turboflame lighter. Handy to keep in the truck for windy days instead of a normal lighter and good at melting stuff. I've caused some destruction with mine.
  23. If you give me dimensions I can knock something up on for you. Give me the info you need and any chosen pics or colours
  24. could you not use some sort of chisel to break it up? something like an air powered jackhammer that you can fit on diggers, although they are hydraulic, might be able to break it up from there, or at least get rid of most of it? could always invest in a powersharp!
  25. definately nothing wrong with red boots! as long as its red because of the fabric colour! mark im bet your glad they didnt pull your massively overloaded micra with all that heavy kit and arisings stuffed into a tesco bag in the boot!
