  7. Semi chisel has a rounded working corner. Full chisel has a square corner. Very pointy. I've drawn blood many times with them while sharpening!

  11. The first two are at croft castle near Leominster. I'm in the second one I love old trees!
  12. Leadsnap is good. iPad owners must get treesketch. It's a 3d tree modelling programme. I'll use tapatalk and upload a screenshot of a tree I drew with it!

  14. I missed the best bits. Gutted! Mini tony and an average sized A. Mellea A shaggy parasol, I think a first for me, should go through my images and get them tagged!
  15. Is that point when you can see the feed rollers? Big artics are different as the trailer reacts slower than a little chipper, I have a real ball ache reversing my small trailer, but big ones are no issue. It does just take practice as others said.
  16. would it then become an argument that having more different climbing ropes, although its a bit more expensive, using a 45m rope on a 5-10m tree is a bit excessive, having a 20m line you have very little hanging below you, i find my 20m line gets used more than my 45m. up at myerscough there is a tale of a rope being left on a track and a tracotr driving over it, the rope then got caught on the axles of it and pulled the climber out the tree. ive nearly seen a rope go into a 12" timberwolf, that wouldnt have been pretty, i managed to grab the rope out the pile of brash in time though, the dragger was unaware. hairy moment!
  17. Okidoke What clause might that be If its pretty good I'll get a copy of my own. I'm glad I bought a bigger bookcase!
  18. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R-alkwiGYy8]Sean Sheehan - Britain's Got Talent 2010 - Semi-final 1 - YouTube[/ame]
  19. what about friggin in the riggin?
  20. i use black carabiners for attachment to my harness, black = do not touch green gate carabiners for on and off i.e. changovers (although my lanyard snap lock is red gate!) i have two big bags, one for rigging kit, one for climbing kit, and two rope bags, one for my 45m climbing rope and one for my 45m rigging line, keeps them out the way and helps keep kit seperate in the bags. i have two silky saws, a 330mm zubat and a 36mm sugoi, the sugoi has a more aggressive cut so is suited to harder reductions or removals where you want more cutting speed, the zubat is good for smaller reductions as the teeth do not bite as much. tom, you can get silky pocket saws which are about 200mm ish i think, and can get really posh ones up to about 500mm or more.
  21. I've not had any funding and I'm managing ok! I'm sure most other on here are similar. You could always save up your student loan?
