  1. You did really well and i mean that , but i would have been more impressed if it was your wife who did it, the up the tree bit stuff that is.
  2. iS THAT a reference to the saw or the place that i have just left .
  3. Man up and get your self a TATA
  4. Whats one of them ? ' A thoughtful message , that is
  5. You dun good mate, thats just how i like to leave a site for me groundy Hope you made the wife sweat , treat em mean keep'em keen
  6. I know what you mean. All got short arms and long pockets, best to avoid those sort, I'v now developed a sort of seventh sense, i can smell money and detect an idiot usually within the first few seconds of talking to them on the phone or meeting them. Its a god given gift At the end of the day if people want a quality service thats reliable, with fit for purpose equipment , backed up with a qualification they should know that its a service that wont be cheap .
  7. DORSET !!!! One of the most expensive areas to live/ property price wise, they'v all got loads of money, its just what they are telling you, but then I suppose having the expense of owning two houses has its draw backs £15 per hour is very very low, does that include basic insurance and basic equipment depreciation and basic PPE and basic transportation or do you catch the bus , Don't sell your self so cheap it should, even in poor little Dorset be £30 min per hour. OR more.
  8. Hay you should check out ' rugbysongs.net' 172 A song about turds 94 that should cheer you up in fact theres lots on there.
  9. Thats nothing, i'm 50 this year , still climb, but have got over the 40 thing, eldest daughter is just about to make me a granddad , thanks, my old boss died last week at 64 and all i keep thinking about is dying , not in a negative way as i have had far too much fun in my life and have in a way had more lives than a cat. But all you have to remember is ' Always look on the bright side of life' those lyrics resonate in my head every day. You know the lyrics
  10. Totally agree , its saturated.
  11. Hi TC, Were did you get the rear lights from please , they look well in that channel section.
  12. Like whats been said, if you are getting that every day all year i'd say stick with it, you could always just tell then that you have reviewed your own rates and are putting a small increase at say 5%or 10% at the end of the month or year, if you do it each year at least your getting a bit more and on that increase they are unlikely to get rid of someone as reliable as you have proven to be, sometimes you have to push a little bit in life to get what you want. Company's who have reliable staff don't like loosing them, they may ask you not to divulge your pay rise with anyone else. Keep what you get quite.
  13. You are absolutely correct, but its just my opinion and i much prefer to see Gums growing naturally down under than being suppressed, and constantly reduced for the purpose of retaining a woody feature in a small garden or on a problematic boundary. Down under growing conditions are perfect for these trees and the shade issues are seen as a great asset and the attitude of the householder is very different to that in the UK. Fear of the height of trees seems not to be an issue down under. I don't know why its so different in the UK.
  14. At the end of the day you can only advice and then at least you have been honest with your client , you could sympathetically thin, that would be my preference over a reduction if felling was not an option , just put across your concerns regarding how the trees will respond to a reduction, either badly or really badly (death) explain what costs are involved with all options and the extra cost involved if its felled for whatever reason shortly after, One other problem with thinning Gums , they tend not to have even branch formation much of the branch development occurs towards the branch tip making it difficult to leave a good form, Lion tailing could result, branches identified for retention could be damaged while working around the canopy . Don't forget those trees look like babys to me and all that they want to do is be massive and bigger than the closely planted mates.
  15. Scrub that i'm going to say Pear.
  16. Damson.
  17. My advice would be to leave alone or cut them down. Reducing in my opinion to Eucalyptus is bad practice, very vigorous regrowth if they survive and the regrowth will compete with itself , the result will be a very dense upper canopy, with in a very short time, which will reduce light levels much more at ground level, 3 years after you have reduced them they will get you back , ask what on earth you did to the trees, and then ask you to fell them. They will coppice which is a more acceptable form of management.
  18. Mate, insurance will probably be the big issue here, i'v got a prolapsed disc and a didget (thumb) thats fussed like a stick, i'd say depending of the extent of the disability will very much depend on if you can get insurance or if you even declare the disability . But good luck sorry i can't provide good input. On another point knowing how strong minded ex service personal are and the ability that they do have to over come injuries such as total limb loss and being ex services my self i have often thought how great it would be to get involved with anyone with such disabilities to help them in the industry knowing the physical and mental rewards that can be had. Armed forces personal whether able bodied or disabled or mentally challenged are the cream of our country and have the strange ability to adapt and over come.
  19. I personnely just just prefer my predator 28, for the hrs its used it makes me a lot of money, i keep the teeth sharp and don't abuse it. It gets in most places . But on another note, that was a great video, super camera angles and such a steady hand, have you consider'd the porn industry , film making, as an alternative income ?, could be very lucrative
  20. I think i'm going to get one too, let us know how you get on with it next week me 192 served me very well up until the point it died i was using it for most things, it lasted well but above all it was really reliable .

  22. Pink with red writing
  23. I think you hhave witnessed first hand most of my DIY attempts and wasn't it an RSJ that hit me on the nose? when SOMEONE let go of one end mentioning no names HAPPY BIRTHDAY YESTERDAY, how drunk did you get and was there any lesbino loovin
  24. I just missed her as she came through the front door, i just tried to fix a 3x2 to an RSJ AT HEAD HEIGHT , went straight through the wood and the RSJ INTO the wall 8" above her head as she came through the door, she said 'what was that' i said i don't know and hid the gun, never to be used or seen again.
