  1. is that the same or worse as what ???? take from someone, that's stealing, looking at writing, thats called reading.
  2. I know for fact we have some members who are convicted criminals, don't ask me names as it was a long time ago, and we should give those week members of our society a second chance, but god help them first time around if i catch them.

    Morals

I dont know what to say, what i do know is that society now is at rock bottom, your episode with a wine bottle is very mild compared with the life issues i am now having to face.
  4. To be fair at the moment what with fishing taking priority when the tides and weather are good, and fitting in everything else around it, got too much on, just sold a great splitter to Tree Man Tom, he could be up for it, i think we all charge about the same money apart from me , i'm quite expensive, and i don't mind saying so, i have to find the money for me boats and mooring fees some how, i do the £25 per hour, but that first hour is £80, and i charge £1 per mile one way, most splitting jobs i can bang out in 1 to 2 hours so the profit is good, all plus vat.
  5. Out of interest , what setup / splitter are you running.
  6. Its about time Tony, enjoy you new life
  7. Just about to get mine, £14,500 + vat, is it a good deal or are my pants been pulled down. ?
  8. Off op topic, nice to hear from you Tony, sounds like you done really good , sort of lifestyle we all dream of, a true eutropia turn in life.
  9. The on site vote on this is Honey fungus , hedging in close proximity is dying, TO has also visited the site and had a scratch around , he also thinks so. ?
  10. Unfortunately, i've lost my best glasses , the ones i am using are a waste of time, and its no good without them, i was more going on size and shape, but like you said very poor specimens, ?
  11. looks like desiccated Polyporus, probably last years as it was protected
  12. Yes it is bacteria, but i did read somewhere that as the brown spots develop as a result of the bacterial infection it was fungal development within each brown spot which caused the shot hole to develop. read it at KMC library so can not now reference the author.
  13. Looks like Pseudomonas syringae, fungus not insects causes those holes. they call them shot holes.
  14. WARNING Dont read this if your just about to have your tea..................................................... Had a stump grinder break down on me a few weeks ago, i had one last stump to get out or not get paid, so i dug it out, by hand, much bigger than you would normally attempt, and i really strained on it, got it out and more importantly got paid, got back later had a shower, when washing my arshole i found a lump, felt like a small grape, anyway, googled it after standing over a mirrow and diagnosed it as piles, the hard day plus my age, anyway is gone now, so just try not to overdo things as much. Carry on eating now.
  15. I believe it to be Anthracnose, just from the number of trees i have inspected and looking at your photo, the taping will just indicate how advanced it is, not looking good for the tree, and its becoming a very widespread problem especially around my area Taunton.
  16. Anthracnose of willow, tap the bark lightly to hear separation.
  17. Them red saws are all starting to creep back, EA5000P looks like an awesome mid range saw , so confident are they that they will let you try before you buy .
  18. A detailed specification will also be very good, for whatever recommendations you make, don't just spec Fell, go into detail, Section fell, Stump grind to a depth, Remove all arisings from site, reinstate with quality top soil, that sort of thing.
  19. Not appropriate in the least, very valid point, i have all sorts of tricks not many can afford the luxury of a porto dump to carry around.
  20. Interesting, regarding the topping / pollard debate, some of our pollards out live many trees which are left alone, our ancient pollards are some of the oldest trees still standing , the photos may look brutal but what we don't know is the reasons why.
  21. Never presume anything, Horse Chestnuts put up with a lot of ailments, remember its one of the first trees to come into leaf, its one of the largest leaves and its out for the longest time. A lot of these ailments tend to be more of a visual problem, than a problem for the tree. Often the tree can cope.
  22. Dont forget your turban, its probably a look that Mr Perry would like, have fun
  23. 300 to 500 for a good one Jon, yes you can DIY, but work out how much you earn an hour, then look at how long it would take you to build a site, then look at what they will charge you .
