  1. I only ever try to keep anything 1 to 2 years max, buy new keep it really clean and well looked after and sell it, buy new again, also buy popular brands not cheap rubbish, have always had very little depreciation, and always guaranteed reliability. Big hit at first but for me it works very well. Down time is very costly, old machines can also be unproductive compared with new.
  2. Who did you get it from John, we are in the same neck of the woods, and do you mind me asking what the m tronic price is .
  3. Does anyone know from what YOM this upgrade was made to the 201 or has it not been upgraded , you would think that having Stihl produce this upgrade in recognition of a manufacturing defect that they would recall all those saws and address the problem.
  4. I can vouch for Dean, as Dean says you will either get used to it or get rid of it, as its new its a great commodity anyway so you will never loose much trading against something new, once you start flogging it that could be a different matter, i did think as Jo Beau were on your side of the pond you would get a good deal ? i have run a lot a lot of machines and firmly believe don't pursue if its not what you had hoped for, if nothing else was i correct about the very poor working position ?
  5. Wife still not properly speaking to me after 2 years since visiting the establishment, i came home the next morning stinking of snail trail, never seen anything like it, they all dropped there pants and riggled all over me , it was actually very nice.
  6. Hey Shavey, less of the big butts, there ant no big butts in that establishment , and Jon would not need a travel lodge, its open all night, he may need his glasses , for he would not behold the the sights befor him, sent me near blind.
  7. Just off on one, i still can not believe the number of cat R trees in my area, that were not protected , why would they be , and are still standing , 6, 7 years on now in established settings and most doing very well.
  8. I didnt want to step in when i first read this one, but hearing your disappointment here we go, i did look into this machine a long time ago, only good point, low ground pressure . bad points, to wide, to long, will not fold, engine underpowered , would work better on green teeth, rapid loss of power on wet ground or very fibrous wood. VERY POOR WORKING POSITION, my advice as its new and hopefully no one knows how bad these machines are yet, contact Dean at Global and trade it against a Jo Beau 31-110.
  9. Iz likes the sounds o that :thumbup: spech with a drop of golden apple juice , see u at the show.

  13. See if this link works, but in short its the birthplace of Cupressocyparis leylandii, if the link works it tells it much better than i could. Leighton Hall and Home Farm Estate – a history - Leighton ... Leighton Hall and Home Farm Estate ? a history - Leighton Village
  14. In the context of the Powys estate you can understand the reasons for its development as an architectural feature. Those trees landscaped against the backdrop of Leighton Hall would have looked quite impressive, nothing like the sad images that tell the tale of an individual's plight with a money eating monster tree as the one we see in the photos of the OP. I always when asked to trim or top these trees just recommend removal and go into great detail as to why, including subsidence risk if its present and suggest much better alternatives as replacement trees. Made a lot of money on them over the years and I am now noticing a lot less of them are around, what will we all do when they are gone.
  15. No comments then ?, when you think the two have been responsible for creating a monster tree species which has cost people in the UK a fortune over the years to try and maintain and paved the way for many travelling communities, Great tree , or money tree as i like to call them.
  16. No Jon, stay clear of it, a man of your calibre should only be burning Ash
  17. As i said £950.00 + vat, you know it's on the money, think about the drag.
