  1. ours is and is easy to add rotator and grapple , just pin it in when needed, useful on bigger stuff when tractor crane is maxed out:001_smile:
  2. bat survey was done before removals and none found during operation, parish council proactive hopefully will do, I will ask. I knew Tom but not related
  3. http://www.adderbury.org/site/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/The-Poplar-Trees-at-the-Lakes-for-.org-1.pdf David good day to you, package of 14 in total 6 dismantle with listed wall and other targets below, 8 back leaners over lake to move up through hedge and into deer park , its not often we have the big saws out for so many days!
  4. 6 poplars, stick that in your transit:001_smile:
  5. 2 here ?
  6. approx. 50 ltrs on a normal day running all day except for lunch time, most extreme day we've used 100 ltrs that was 12 hour + none stop, possibly acceptable ? not bad for a 150 hp 12'' chipper, 8 tonne winch 9 tonne meter crane with capacity to have 24 tonne gross train weight i.e possibility to move 25 m3 chip at a time.
  7. wot he said above , I'm pricing for replacement as well and how about ::Teufelberger:STRATOS Winch Pro interesting but costly
  8. One Man Post Hole Borer - Hire Now from Jewson 1200 most likely just use a spade, you can use hand held post hole borer such as in link , if using compost spread on augured soil this then gets mixed as you backfill , 12000 then worth it!
  9. catalpa, from memory it has a quite distinctive smell and quite soft to cut?
  10. KESLA 303 | 304 | 304T | 305 | 305T | 316 | 316T - Loaders - www.kesla.fi crane 305T and yes dusty, kept running tractor a bit warm! we tried opening doors to get a draft to aid cooling and vision! one of the problems with this operation is we need to get the grapple up and into the hopper of the chipper therefore crane needs to be up in the air close to tractor, I guess you could be lower if unloading a trailer but?
  11. this was the lowest we have had to work in! with the crane at its shortest we could just get the wood into the chipper, only touched the roof once thankfully metal girder & not the conc panels! I would advise you measure a comfortable height and add a bit!
  12. Wedge eye sockets. Marshalls in sussex ( heartfield ) we got some last year.
  13. 20% is the usual for construction deduction
  14. they do cost £'s especially when they have expensive tastes, I caught this one going out on its own the other night:sneaky2:
  15. 550ZX would be the business! I agree here with remote control this chipper makes an ideal hand and or grab fed machine
  16. thanks for posting and my respect to Jeremy Barrell for his actions
  17. I just find the oak stump collect! quite a retrieval, the tree had fallen over public open space and into the back of 3 gardens just brushing the roof and gutters of the houses, no live roots at all only green on the trees ivy!
  18. David I think it was here Gardens - Picton Castle & Gardens, the problem I visited 3 gardens in 3 days and usually I take a pic of sign to locate me, well worth a visit
  19. above I'm still trying to find on Google!! Pembrokeshire I think beautiful place they also had some outside using as seats and stumpery. yew yes, I lent it to an art gallery where they had it with a large oak stump planned the tops off ( quite an investment for them but I missed the opportunity to sell to the artist, the suggested price was turned down) 1 is now an out door table and the other in the pic, cheers j
  20. stumps at home and away
  21. spent the last 2 days mulching bigish pine stumps, could have easily been used as eco habitat landscape thingy, lack of initiative by developer and in a situation where it easily could have been more reasonably and proactively actioned
  22. I know Jim Watt http://www.caledonianforestryservices.co.uk/ has ex demo machines for sale and has had write ups in forestry journal in past best speak to him
