2. Max you are a busy man! keeping warm I hope
3. Brushcutter hello, hope all is well with you, thanks for cable link, after experiencing using winch on site I am now thinking of using cable with wedge eye sockets rather than eye of hook etc.! and would like to try dyneema, if I can find an economical 1 that is, the appearing video and the disappearing Leylandii ( your to fast for my editing! )
4. We were asked to chip leylandii felled by our client, a short time lapse of some of the 170 trees that were processed by our Hiezohack 14-800 the day also included a section of white thorn hedging. [ame] [/ame]
5. Instant Hedging | Evergreen & Deciduous Instant Hedging | Instant Hedge Screening | Garden privacy Hedges | Mature hedge plants - Practicality Brown Ltd
6. hello I had this member 'carpenter1' chasing me for fire wood in your area worth sending him a message
7. eh good & control, we have winch in sprung loaded which returns to drum braked and is a good with the action of winching and braked without any uncontrolled slack , free spool on the drum i.e brake off, this is good for 1 operator to pull cable out, we have 1 winch that will only allow slack if you hold the control and is a pain! as Andy has said wireless radio remote very useful, have no experience with powered outfeed but can guess a nice option, unfortunately we have a problem with our battery on the radio remote but had an enjoyable time pulling these Poplars up out of the site they were in
8. big timber to Helmdon Sawmills Ltd Weston Road Brackley Northamptonshire NN13 5QB smaller stuff to Cotswold Wood Fuels I think for Biomass Woodchip Fuel. no moth holes
9.
Hello steve hope all is well with you, cant seem to find the thread. "show your forestry tractor " posted some pics over the weekend went to show someone today and cant find it. Cheers Jeremy

10. ours is and is easy to add rotator and grapple , just pin it in when needed, useful on bigger stuff when tractor crane is maxed out:001_smile:
11. bat survey was done before removals and none found during operation, parish council proactive hopefully will do, I will ask. I knew Tom but not related
12. http://www.adderbury.org/site/wp-content/uploads/2013/11/The-Poplar-Trees-at-the-Lakes-for-.org-1.pdf David good day to you, package of 14 in total 6 dismantle with listed wall and other targets below, 8 back leaners over lake to move up through hedge and into deer park , its not often we have the big saws out for so many days!
13. 6 poplars, stick that in your transit:001_smile:
14. 2 here ?
15. approx. 50 ltrs on a normal day running all day except for lunch time, most extreme day we've used 100 ltrs that was 12 hour + none stop, possibly acceptable ? not bad for a 150 hp 12'' chipper, 8 tonne winch 9 tonne meter crane with capacity to have 24 tonne gross train weight i.e possibility to move 25 m3 chip at a time.
16. wot he said above , I'm pricing for replacement as well and how about ::Teufelberger:STRATOS Winch Pro interesting but costly
17. One Man Post Hole Borer - Hire Now from Jewson 1200 most likely just use a spade, you can use hand held post hole borer such as in link , if using compost spread on augured soil this then gets mixed as you backfill , 12000 then worth it!
18. catalpa, from memory it has a quite distinctive smell and quite soft to cut?
19. KESLA 303 | 304 | 304T | 305 | 305T | 316 | 316T - Loaders - www.kesla.fi crane 305T and yes dusty, kept running tractor a bit warm! we tried opening doors to get a draft to aid cooling and vision! one of the problems with this operation is we need to get the grapple up and into the hopper of the chipper therefore crane needs to be up in the air close to tractor, I guess you could be lower if unloading a trailer but?
20. this was the lowest we have had to work in! with the crane at its shortest we could just get the wood into the chipper, only touched the roof once thankfully metal girder & not the conc panels! I would advise you measure a comfortable height and add a bit!
21. Wedge eye sockets. Marshalls in sussex ( heartfield ) we got some last year.
22. 20% is the usual for construction deduction
