  1. Granted. But if they no longer wish to make the product they should open source the specs to allow others to take up the batton. Would go some way to curtail the throwaway society. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  2. Stuff like that really annoys me. A giant make work scheme for main dealers. When manufacturers submit models for construction and use certification they should be refused a ticket for unreasonable design like that or be forced to meet repairs from their pockets for as long as the vehicle has an mot. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  3. But what tonnage is being extracted for that 2000 litres. The mechanical advantage gained from a modern harvester must be immense. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  4. Is that pre chipped or in cord form to be chipped at the power plant? Is there any price difference between hardwood and softwood chip? http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  5. Update. Heard from repair guy . Unit is to old to repair. Parts no longer available. He has sourced me a replacement unit for £145 so not the end of the world. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  6. There are some numbers stamped on the casing but almost Illegible. Will try and decipher and get back to you. Thanks. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  7. Thanks for the replies. Have found someone in turrif who repairs them and he is kooking at it now for me. I was hoping the starter was a common one from the auto or plant markets and i could pick one up on the bay. Deutz are hideously expensive. Had to replace an ally finned and coiled oil cooler pipe last year on same engine. Couldnt find anyone to make me one for me. So had shell out over £300 to deutz for an original part. With hindsight should of just made one up from copper tubing. We dont make or repair bugger all in this country anymore unless you do it yourself. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  8. Deutz fl10 diesel engine. Need a new starter motor. Anyone know if these starters are used on other vehicles? Engine is circa 1976. Hoping i can pick up one cheaply if same as an old vw or bmw etc. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  9. Your business structure is your own business. If you are happy with it carry on. 1. Where are your opportunities? Are you working to the max in all that you do? Will a new piece of kit improve productivity? Could you use the cash to finance more teams doing what you do now but just more of it. 2. If you have gone as as far you can with the above can you expand into related areas of business i.e. Firewood, kindling, chip or pellets for biomass or milling for boards and beams. If you are predominantly in the domestic market what about public sector contracts. 3. Whatever you do my advice would be dont stray too far from what you currently do ( Providing a service based around working with wood or landscaping?) . If you expand into related areas some of the kit and staff will be interchangable so if things dont work out you will still have uses for at least some of your investment. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  10. Ditto. Log Sales have died a death at the moment. Luckily wholesale kindling sales are filling the gap for me. Have also heard that the price of cord roadside is falling as purchasers for pulp, chip and board are scaling back over euro worries. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  11. Awesome machine but a criminal waste of good firewood. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  12. An old one but a good one http://kats-korner.com/animals/beavers/ http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  13. My two boys are world champions at this game. They bore their mother to death with tractor and implement talk. Lol. The same company also make woodcutter simulator but it is very proccessor and video card hungry so we cannot run it http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  14. Non native? Someone told me they are the "celtic maple" and have prob been here since the ice retreated 10,000 years ago. In that respect all species (with the possible exception of lichen) are non native. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  15. Not yet. But they will if the alternative is the total destruction of their european market. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  16. Lack of feedback worrying. Location will put off all but the locals from inspection prior to bidding. What is it worth if genuine? http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  17. The fund is actually limitless as in order to save the political project they will simply print euros to bail everyone out. Inflation will rise but that will be regarded as a small price to pay to prevent monetary collapse. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  18. Wasnt the jato story investigated by mythbusters? It was several years ago not last year. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  19. I've had similar this week. Had to hang up in the end as they dont take no for an answer. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  20. i've got a 97 colorado. done 150k 2nd clutch at 135k £600 propshaft uj at 140k about £60 fitted new handbrake cable at 140k £40 fitted also had some welding at the rear end £70. great motor if a little juicy if not on road tyres. probably what a landrover should be if we were japanese:lol: great truck.
  21. Ask friends who are not in the business what they would look for in an ad if they needed a tree surgeon. Develop your wording from what they tell you. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  22. Well said that man. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  23. Yes...we have gone backwards since then. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  24. If what you say is true it will be a nightmare for small business throught the uk. Obtaining the O licence is one thing, complying with ongoing obligations is quite another. What problem are these new regs trying to solve? Wtf is a supposedly business friendly government doing by introducing these measures? Cameron is a joke. Come back maggie....all is forgiven. This sort of eu inspired nonsense coupled with disconnected gravy train politicians is killing small business in this country. Rant over!!! Just going outside now to remove the tow ball from the back of the tranny so i cant be accused of going eqipped to commit an offence. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
  25. Edible? Not that i would eat it without on the spot confirmation from someone who knows their fungi. http://www.kinnoirwoodfuel.co.uk
