I don't much about burning chip in a stove, but I've seen a system where willow chip is unloaded into a storage room at the side of the house and a screw auger (100mm diam.) brings the chip through to a combustion chamber around which sits a water jacket for the central heating. It produces very little ash and is economical - although I think the savings rely on the low cost of willow chip.

The oxygen doesn't descend to feed the fire, it is drawn from the room that the fire is in then vents up the flue. It's a one way system.

Try this on Ebay (it'll give you an idea at least). Black Diamond Wiz Kids climbing harness. I know that Petzl also cater for very small climbers - not that they're particularly better, but at least I'm sure that the Petzl harnesses are small enough to fit securely. Good luck, Dee.

The Simba kids' harness is primarily designed for rockclimbing, so there's not so much thought put into the child's position when hanging - other than motionless safety. The tie-in point is at chest level so, when suspended, the child hangs with very little chance of inversion (turning upside down and falling out). The problem that I've found with my daughter using this harness is when she's trying to abseil, the device (fig 8, Petzl stop) is almost above her head! If you're planning to let your son 'control' some of his own work on a rope, I'd recommend an extra small conventional climbing harness with the option of adding a chest harness to the set-up. Dee

I have used a similar set up once before - but ended up fixing the pulley to a point in the rope (your red rope) in order to control its position. What caused the re-evaluation was when the tension went on the lowering rope the pulley shifted towards the lowering rope's side - so once the pulley was fixed adjustments could be made from either end of the upper rope. Although looking at your particular problem, Dean, I would just take an eraser to the whole tree in one go! Good luck.

I reckon Meg lived a glorious life - if all too short. She lived exactly the way a working dog should - things to do, people to look after. If we had a chance to serve our purpose to the extent that Meg probably served hers, we would jump at the chance! Sorry to hear of the loss, but heartened to know of a dog that lead a proper life. Hama, what you're experiencing now at the moment with Doug Blease IS part of that competition that some crave. Competition in business comes in many forms I think. Inspection report templates could be regarded as financially sensitive material. On a more optimistic note, How is your studying going? The last we heard, you were still at the 'finding your feet' stage.

I used to use the very same set-up with my big-shot but I found two problems with it. 1. The strap of the pouch would snag on the eye of the quick-release snaplink. 2. The lateral pull on the release pin of the snaplink would sometimes cause the over-all aim of the bigshot to be less than accurate. I went back to just pull, aim and let go.
