  1. Brilliant!! I liked the one about 'let me sing you the song of my people' at 2am.
  2. When I have a load of very wet stuff, I put it into a big wooden wardrobe in one of the sheds along with a dehumidifier. Shut the doors tight and leave overnight. There's no heat, just evaporation into the very dry air.
  3. Keep the fixing screw out as well.

    mary poppins

My two girls have it on DVD, we watch it every bloody week!
  5. I run a 550XP with a 15" bar, but sometimes I use the same saw on a 18" bar. The 18" isn't as balanced or quick but it's far from a disaster story. Just not as close to perfect - that's all.
  6. Agreed, this is the bit that's important (to the user) but not complicated (for the user).
  7. Yeah .... it's important but not complicated. As already advised above.
  8. If opinions are asked for, then opinions will likely be given. Which opinions were not based on experience?
  9. Santa will be pleased ..... Let us know how you get on with it, Dave.
  10. I've seen them used as cascade run-off chutes to disperse the erosive effects of the running water on slopes. Never seen any problem with corrosion.
  11. He wouldn't have been able to drink his tea ....

    Help!!!

We know that, Adam. It's just the odd mouth-breather that lets us down. Sorry.
  13. I know it can take the Vizion visor, but I don't know about ear protection. I think the visor was guided more by ice climbing activities.
  14. Welcome, Dave. Santa uses a 550XP ...
  15. Yeah, it can be tracked from this site. International Space Station | NASA Some nights it's not on this side of the planet, but it's worth looking for it once in a while.

    Jokes???

A man visits the doctor with a terrible case of diarrhoea. After a brief examination, the doctor gives the man a big box of suppositories with the instruction to "use one of these three times a day for two weeks". Well, the man, who didn't know any better, spent the next fortnight swallowing the suppositories with a glass of water. Understandably, the diarrhoea didn't get any better. So he went back to the doctor who asked how he had been getting on with the treatment. The poor man said " Doctor, those things you gave me were useless - I may as well as shoved them up me arse!"
  17. Are you including the common name along with the scientific one? (Maybe I've just missed it). SORRY! I have missed it! Are you including any kind of key at the start of the database. Dee
  18. Hi Ray, have you tried a search entitled 'which chainsaw'? You'll then be able to browse the opinions at your leisure - and get some indication of how particular 'new' saws have settled in.
  19. To help with a bit of your question, I use a 550XP on 15'' and 18'' bars. It's a good saw in the tree - not too heavy. It's well matched to the 15'' bar, and will cope with the longer one if needs require. I moved from the Stihl 260 and have found an improvement, don't have enough practical experience of the 555 for my opinion to be of any value.
