  1. Thats a Cordyline alright probably the cold winter that sorted the branches out and is drooping the weakest.
  2. I had 100 cards through Goodprint. Good quality but simple all ok until you drip beer on them!!

  4. Probably Abies Nordmanniana but could it also possibly be Abies Concolor?
  5. Trim them earlier rather than late in the year as this can reduce the chances of buxus blight.
  6. Has this happened when cold? sometimes blades need a warm up first on the old saw bench we would draw a bolt across the blade from the middle on both sides and let friction do the work.
  7. I use chain oil applied with a paint brush,but have considered using wax oil(underseal) like they say to use on telehandlers as muck does not stick to it.
  8. Ive had wood off him about 80 tonne and never pay up front,just meet him in the yard a week or two later.He seems ok but a lot of people dont like him so rumour has it. still waiting for more wood, had 21t of 100t i asked for.

  10. the female scale insect dies after laying eggs which will be the white powder under the old scales. the soap based insecticides should do the trick but spray regular and frequently to gain the upper hand.
  11. ive never known taxus to be grown by cuttings on a commercial scale only seed but best of luck!
  12. Go for it! Ive worked in production horticulture for 24 years but its always better to buy dutch and sell it on bare root. Keep the tunnel for the more sensitive crops and remember that theres lots of pests and diseases that can be contolled with chemicals,but best practice gets best results so feeding watering and hygiene will play a large part in the end product.   14. Dont rush it its no race and saftey is paramount.Speed and stamina will come with time and experience,good luck.
  15. Japa have improved mine is 15 yr old a few bends and twists but the more modern ones are stronger and on a par with the dalen.
  16. My transit is fully comp for any driver over 25 and i think it cost somewhere around the £400 mark with NFU.
  17. Turkey oak has a higher moisture content than English oak but burns well when dry.

  21. If your contract with him states minimum hrs then that may save you some on holiday pay ect.All employees p/t and f/t are now entitled to same holidays ect
  22. I find that below 20% it turns to more of a charcoal so lots of heat and a pile of embers.Above that and you get a better flame and general feel to the fire, which is why they probably recommend the low moisture for wood burners as its charcoal.
  23. Try a little cement powder in, its what my father does with his coal dust!
  24. The space may be a cube but the quantity of wood definately wont be after wheel arches and gaps are taken into account.imo
  25. Check all your connections, i had a dodgy earth but it looked ok.Maybe its the solinoide?
