  1. Yes more luck than judjment,i think that because it still had the bark on and the way it was stacked,and the wind blasting it every day did the trick.
  2. I had 16 tonne of soft wood last year split half and left the rest in 2 meter lenghts stacked on top of each other,the split wood didn,t dry well but after 4 months the lenghts although wet on the ends were very dry in the middle,dry enough to burn any way.
  3. Hi my mate mat has just lost his job for a small fee he will go and get funds for you +interest,guys an animal makes tyson look like mary poppins.

  8. I,d use stihl oil and mix 50-1,that should be ok.

I did about 4 grands worth last winter with an axe and a chainsaw,hard work but worthwhile,ran out of wood last time but managed to save about 3 times the amount this year,what i bought in was crapp to wet and no way of drying it out,but im ahead of things this year,so bring on the frost,and mabe a log splitter.
  10. your tunnel is far better than what i had in mind,is it your own design or is it a specific type?

Guy at a garden machinery place told me recently they had stihl chainsaw in for repair,but on investigation they found it to be a very good copy,so beware also the other saws could be a decoy to make you think the guys laggit,but he may very well be,but thats the world we live in not much trust around anymore.

  13. when i say tunnel i mean tunnel type it will be big enough to get the cabstar into and open either end.
  14. We have just got a new yard and firewood is going to be a big part of our income in the future we have the room to put up a polly tunnel for drying,has anyone else tried this and does it work cheers brian.

  16. Its a timber cart not not a rally car some people take things far to seriously,just bodge it up to pull a bit of timber its bound to be better than a wheel barrow.
  17. Are there any prices for the pellet machines in question and who makes them.
  18. Just reading your thread,and wondered has anyone used a twinwheel cabstar are they any better,ive driven a brand new single wheel and werent that impressed.ps,if ive got anything to do with things the ldv will do more than a year its a tidy little tipper warrents a bit tlc.
