  1. Cheers mate that seemed to be the general concensus with everyone there today,but if it helps get the big contracts it might be worth a look,anyone got any idea of the costs(ball park) figure etc.

  9. I the stove is on legs you should be ok if not you can have a cut part way through the hearth called an expansion joint,but generally heat travels up not down.
  10. Do a bit of digging found out which local tree firms are doing utilitiy cutting have a word with them they will have more clout with the power company than you, might even cut it back from the lines for you so that your team can do the rest at your leisure.
  11. I spent 20 years in the granite trade and made loads of hearths for wood burners etc,get a lighter granite not marble,takes a lot to scratch granite,marble marks to easy as does slate.

  13. How much work is in the two trees they want doing,might be an idea to do them and get paid,probably quicker than the legal route,put it down to experience and move on.
  14. hi just wondered if anyone knows where i can purchase a saw dust burner,my mate had one years ago and it was wicked,it looked a bit like a 50 gallon oil drum with a chimney,they were used to heat garages ,workshops etc if any one has any info i would be grateful.

  17. Hi mate tommer9 cut some puzzle that we had using an alaskin mill,seemed to dull the chain quite quickley on the mill,but i cross cut a load and that cut fine,lovely grain tommers got the video on here somewhere might be of help to you,brilliant carving by the way,truly awsome.

  20. Cabstar all the way,better than a transit,and unless you pay out thousands chances are youll end up with a dog,also its not about the image but the service you provide,get that right,and no one cares what you look like.
  21. You can put any amount on mine and it will always tip it,best truck out there,hard as nails.

Get some legal advice first ,ive met people like your boss in different guises all my life,call his bluff dont give him anything tell him to take you to court,end of the day its only money and from what your saying not very much,but let him do the chasing youve done nothing wrong,it sounds like he realises hes made a mistake letting you go,but wont admit hes wrong instead hes behaving like an asshole,remember there always a higher power that bosses like him have to answer to called the legal system ,if he pushes it go the legal route if its like you say i dont recon youll have a problem mate,and good luck finding new employment,ps i did like mozzas train of thought,but go to a solicitor first.
