I use two ropes on big trees [one long one short) with side strop, one rope with side strop on smaller trees. With regards to the web site IMO it wouldn't encourage me to contact you for a quote, it looks like you have copied and pasted from wikipedia. And get rid of the video that doesn't help your cause.

Am up near Inverness and out my way it is a bit saturated with tree surgeons. I mainly do subby work and I now have two regular guys I do work for, but the work is slow at the moment. It should start picking up at the end of the month though. I think people up here are a bit more clued up about what real tree surgeons do compared to say people that live in city's. I've been up in the highlands for 2 years now and its the best move I ever made. Come up for a reccy some time I would be happy to show you about. Cheers Stevie

Here here! Total agree mate. Since becoming a member last year I've had my highs and lows but have never though of packing it all in and starting something new. After 33 years I have finally found a career not just a job that I love. There are three main factors that give me inspiration and the support to keep on working hard at this career. MY FAMILY, MY FRIENDS AND ARBTALK! Cheers Mr Bullman and all the supporting members that give up the time and knowledge to keep this forum running. Thanks to all the members for all the advise, knowledge, tips, support and a hell of a good laugh!

Hi Dadio, Good video, You said that you went up and removed the crown how did you do that? Would it still work if the plunge cut was a bit lower as I wouldn't be happy cutting above my head. Cheers Stevie

A part from the cost of hosting my web site cost zero, my wife done it. She said it all depends on what you are wanting the web site to do, I dont think you need to spend that much on web sites for our trade.

It will lock but more too the right which results in the flap not closing flush. I have tried all above tips and have had a couple of other people try without success. It really drives me mad because a simple component shouldn't cause so much hassle. The fuel cap doesn't cause me any bother so why does the oil cap. Next time am getting a Husky 338XPT.

For the second time the oil cap for my MS200T (twist and lock type) has just decided to stop locking. I was wondering if anyone has had theirs retro fitted to the old style oil cap and if so how much did it cost. Stevie

I seen a video some time ago with a guy showing you how to block a palm tree. Apparently if you just start cutting the saw will get pinched, he had to bore through the tree and then cut wings off from the sides. ( hope that makes sense, tried to find the video on you tube but cant find it)
