  1. Ive looked at these before couple of years back i seem to remember them not being able to lift a great deal also they cant lift to a great height either just about lift onto a transit. Maybe they have changed since i looked.

  5. that is normal as far as i no all the chains i use (that i buy) all have a gap where they are joined.
  6. I used to never switch off i was either working, quoting, paperwork, accounts ordering equipment blar blar another reason why i went into business with another company 50% of the load gone. We are also doing it properly all work gear at the yard everything we do with few exceptions will be in work hours once its 5pm work is over. That includes oaperwork quotes the lot.
  7. Yup we could drive right upto them aswell so they had a very relaxed couple of days to say the least.

  9. Cheers for the good feedback guys everyone was happy with the results. I dont know why you bring up cost but not far out we had another day doing other work but we charged 2000+vat

  11. we did these 2 mature oak reductions last week my self and adam bourne climbed over the 2 days lucky we finished early the 2nd day as adam had to rush off cause his baby was being born. here is a before and after pic im sure adam will have a few pics to add. this is the job that made me buy a rope wrench.
  12. working for GM smith tree services part of the job was to reduce this Cotoneaster that has rather evolved from a shrub to a tree.
  13. I noticed the wire cutting one already had a saw cut on the truck side of the tree wonder how they made that!
  14. I cant see that wire one working, my money is on the saw blade team.

  18. Looks like theres enough room, if you can get a crane it would be my choice as its far safer, quicker and efficient which is a big deal when working on busy junctions and roads.
  19. One of todays fells a tiny little conifer had to fell it in 2 bits as it was twin stem felled high to make enough room as that wall was very weak. Sent using Arbtalk Mobile App

  21. Usually alot of chains and alot of sharpening and swearing to get it low enough for the grinder or near ground level if the stump is being left.
  22. yer that is true, i think my wife to be will be the one telling me as she cant have any as shes pregnant so she will tell me haha
  23. think thats going to be the biggest mission got alot of friends in the tree game coming who all verging on alcoholics there getting me in the pub a hour before the wedding
  24. doesnt seem long ago i made this thread and im sitting at home with a few whiskeys with the wedding tomorow it sure has flown by! sure has been a busy day today doing most of work sorting the hall out.
