  1. Just buy the auger price it into the job. if you win you get auger for next job, trying to bodge an auger to drill that will only end in tears, if it comes apart half way through the whole just how are you getting it out, you will need a pretty hefty drill to power it I get mine from Swiftfix in Southampton 02380446644 they can make any size you want up to 2.4 metres In length
  2. What engine ? mine is. Kohler so I’d be suprised if Honda had the part
  3. Mooring will work we do up 200 MM with moles another option would be directional drill not cheap but little disturbance and you could lay pipe in single length all joints being fused
  4. Try Justin kingwell Braintree
  5. Price wise I think you did ok, if you spend couple of thousand on motors and pump still cheap machine, will fit your premise of machines not labour
  6. Too right levelling grading digging,I find them better than wheels and you don’t get punctures
  7. Lift capacity is good put a heavy plate on the rear step but wheel pivot loader out lifts helps to have a fat bastard on the rear
  8. Make good trenchers, pretty good with stone burier in smaller spaces
  9. The builder could still be in business, take overs and buyout mean small pockets of land just get forgotten till someone starts to ask questions
  10. Who are you working for? I work for the utilities they deem the tree dangerous or the work is urgent/emergency we crack on,prove our case with many pictures,
  11. We put in a notice for work for information only then usually make a call to the arb officer, and crack on, do take pictures before and during
  12. Could be still in the ownership of the housebuilder
  13. Had similar problem on mates Ranger, used to tow mini digger, conclusion was worn out box, too expensive to fix only showed up when towing, traded in
  14. No insurance co in their right mind Will insure a load of amateurs, Dads army springs to mind choose a couple of responsible people pay them and do the works on your insurance get paid then donate proceeds to club And your donation is tax deductable
  15. Justin kingwell and his very big grinder will walk it
  16. Keep looking at these, the nose weights must be huge on a unladen trailer, and capacity must be under two tonnes probably closer to 1.5 tonnes, against an investment of over £10.000. Are they realistically worthwhile?
  17. What’s the nose weight on the trailer unladen?, did you have to balance the crane? Do you know the unladen weight of the trailer?
  18. Looks overgrown in pot eucalyptus don’t like being in pots too long evergreens best cut during spring, my guess is wind burn and desiccation if you lift it up I would bet the roots are still the same as when in pot did you pull out the roots when planting?
  19. I’m not saying they shouldn’t stay but they take a very dim view of boat people,
  20. And then you kick them out Australia has the right idea, but young single males should be removed straight away as economic migrants.
  21. I d go for grinder. Digger will leave some big holes to fill and a fair few stumps to deal with, they don’t burn easy and cost a fortune to tip
