My local shell won’t let me fill up with one 20 litre Jerry and Sainsbury are not much better that’s 70 litres there, petrol stations tell me they will loose licence if fill up more than 10 litres

Get one on hire or demo the buckets are not that big on small skidsteer, the worky gets good write up you won’t regret trading labour for machinery. I keep some boards for turning on, skidsteer on wheels still makes a mess of lawns you can’t have too many toys!!

Don’t discount power barrows wheeled or tracked, most little loaders are skid steer so wheels or tracks are not much different on grass I would look to wheels have a look at a kanga , try out as many as you can find look at hydraulic flow the more the better, a lot of the little narrow machines struggle to load a 3.5 truck so you might also need a low trailer

The dozer drivers where I started work never used to fill the drums they said most power was produced on the second layer as got much less as the layer built up and if you pulled on the top layers the pressure deformed the lower layers

Because the law says that employee has to be trained to carry out the operations that you require them to do, you show this with tickets,training register, certificates etc if he has accident and says I was not trained you have problems. As an worker he is covered by the health and saftey at work act which states must have received training might be different in France

From what I have been lead to understand if my labourer / brash dragger was to have an accident whilst towing a trailer at work it is within the powers of the hse to investigate and look for evidence that they have training, so passing the problem etc back to me, the fact that he didn’t need training according to the dvla dosnt mean he didn’t require training to satisfy health and saftey and also my conscience

Look to Europe plenty of rakes for sale fitting to two wheel tractors change front wheels for barrow tyres and your away. Try not to scarify the surface and the machine will keep on slope, steering brakes that work help. Slopes must be dry had a Vogel and noot for many years sent it to scrap man at Easter nobody was interested try to cut with a recip mower the rakes didn’t like working with strimmer arising tended to be to short and balled up
